Rave, I envy you the bluebirds. Out in the countryside, they set up little boxes for them to nest in, but I've never seen them here in the yard.

I'm glad you liked yesterday's good-night photo. For some reason, it reminded me of your artwork. The detail, I think.

All morning, it has snowed, then stopped and the sun came out, then another round of snow. I went to the library to donate some books, then to the barn to see Penny. Just after I arrived at the barn, it started snowing, then became rather heavy. It's still coming down and adding up fast -- big flakes pouring down. Tomorrow is supposed to be clear and cold all the way from here to Philly, so I think traveling will be OK.

PS - Rusty is doing fine. His liver thingey is up a little but since he is so much happier on the Previcox than off it, it is worth keeping him on it.

I should get a bluebird box, but I never see them in the summer. They hang out near the farms with fields because there are always lotsa bugs. We have our share here too, but they prefer open country. In the cold months, the whole flock will cuddle up together in a box for warmth. They forage together as well, so I always know when they arrive because they're everywhere! It's an amazing sight.



Thank you for thinking of me when you look at that photo, Sandy. Hopefully it won't be long before I have more artwork in the making. It's nice to know that people think of it.

Lizzie, I think you're right. Quality of life is more important than length of life, IMHO.

We've had a couple of flurries even though it's 40 outside, colder air aloft isn't a good sign. It's supposed to get really cold tonight, below 10, and stay cold through Monday with snow on Saturday night/Sunday morning. Is it Spring yet?

Maybe where you are, but here, it's the dead of winter with feet of snow on the ground. Maybe by the end of this month, we'll have a warm day with the idea that spring might come someday, but we get sprinklings of snow in April, so it'll be a while yet for us.

That is phenomenal, especially the recovery after being kicked!!

That's what amazed me, being able to maintain balance like that. If you watch that section closely you can see the legs work like a real dog would react if kicked or jostled sideways like that. Robotics are coming along pretty quickly.

That robot is just weird. I can understand that people are working on the technology, but geez, that is no dog, lol! Some of the comments were pretty funny though....

We still have about a foot on the ground, it's sort of scrunching itself lower, but not melting. Like Sandy, we are getting a little bit here and there. The surface gets prettied up, but doesn't really add much to the total. It's just the cold, ugh, it's too darn cold!

Here's what we have to look forward too....It's 5° right now, I suppose TWC is afraid to show me.

Not really, Sandy, just joking around but the technology is amazing. I assume you're driving down to Philly. Please drive carefully! There may be some snow in the Poconos and north from there tomorrow but not much expected down this way.

Awsum, I'm looking forward to heading down your way for that reason. It's usually about 10 degrees warmer down there than it is up here. We're going to get severe cold, too.
