    When I change flavors I empty the tank then flip it upside down and burn off all the old juice. Once the wick is looking fairly dry the I add the new juice prime and vape with no carry over. Even my banana nut bread doesn't carry over and that is a pretty potent flavor.

    I think it is because the wire is perhaps a heavier gauge? Not sure but there certainly is an increase in shorts with it. I have several rebuild ables and the issue happened with every one. I even wound up retorching and quenching with VG 3 times. I did finally get a good coil last night...

    And for 270 mesh ....Stainless Steel 304 Mesh Sheet, ASTM E2016-06: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific, the 270 wicks really well but the heavier wire makes shorts more bothersome. Really need to be sure to fold the edges before rolling.

    If you are using the Katana for practice you will find the defcon and atom a piece of cake. I have a Katana and it is a really tricky gennie, I refuse to give up though ....it has become a challenge. You have to vape the Katana standing on your head.

    Don't feel too bad Uma.....I did the same thing. I got mine off with a tiny screwdriver ....like the size in the cheap eyeglass repair kit (which I also use for coil and wick tinkering). I scooped it off from the bottom.
