Any advice on how to deal with biased health care professionals?

Greetings, welcome to the forum. You raised an interesting issue, and it makes me wonder what will happen with respect to life insurance companies that charge higher rates for smokers (here's one insurance company example). In a sense, insurers have a financial incentive to lump vapers in with...

    Provari / Kir Fanis

Thanks, I like it. :vapor: The topper is a Vapinaze AC9 (genesis-style). FYI, the Kir Fanis ring won't work with a KF/KFL+, the center pin sits too high. -- Glenn

    Provari / Kir Fanis

I think the Kir Fanis rings come and go fairly regularly. Here's a (small) pic to hold you over until you can get one: Welcome to the forum btw. -- Glenn

Beyond the RSST? Search for the next Genesis...

For a genny that comes with a glass tank, a Z-Atty is an obvious choice, and it will look good with 'precious,' too. I went from an RSST -- which I also liked -- to an AC9 purchased used. It doesn't have an insulated wick hole like the RSST (and the Z-Atty too maybe?), but the AC9 does have a...

    mechanical mods, dangerous?

Are you still just thinking about getting into e-cigs, or are you already vaping and, if so, what are you using now? You'll get plenty of help on the newcomers forum if you have questions about e-liquids or gear, and there are some good ECF resources for newcomers...

Extremely fortunate it wasn't a front pocket! :D -- Glenn

    mechanical mods, dangerous?

Greetings, Blaine, welcome to the forum. Keep in mind that you can get an equally excellent vape from a regulated mod (Variable Voltage/Variable Wattage) of the sort that Bad mentioned in his post. Mechanical mods, unlike regulated mods, allow vapors to use low sub-oHm atomizer coils (one of...

provari in the mail - PLEASE help me choose a painless topper!

Greetings, congrats on your ProVari purchase, and welcome to the forum. There are plenty of easy-to-follow tutorials for the Kayfun, and there are also KF clones available which vape just like the original, but cost much less. Here's one tutorial: Vaporev-Kayfun If you're thinking about...

New canadian vaper looking for safe juice

Vaporous in Mtl is an excellent vape shop, and it produces its own e-liquids. Not sure if it makes its ingredients list easily available. -- Glenn

Best beauty ring for provari with Russian

+1 for the ProVape ring. Some ProVari rings won't work with a KF, though iirc the Russian has an adjustable center pin, so you should have a wider choice. -- Glenn

New canadian vaper looking for safe juice

Greetings, welcome to the forum. Once you have 5 newcomer posts, check out the ECF->Canada subforum, there are several threads about e-liquid suppliers on our side of the border, and you can get some good suggestions. What part of Canada are you in? There may be somewhere local worth checking...

    Genni pros! Cotton or Mesh!?

Great post, I really appreciate the detail. Your technique for mesh wick preparation sounds excellent; an unevenly rolled wick can cause a lots of grief when using the drill bit method. But when it comes to gennies like the Z-Atty or RSST, with plenty of room between the wick hole and center...

Going to Montreal, any vape shops around St Catherines?

+1 for Vaporous, it's a very cool vape shop. When I went to Mtl in January, someone on ECF/Canada recommended Schwartz's deli on St Laurent, which was totally worthwhile, smoked meat sandwiches to die for. -- Glenn

    Genni pros! Cotton or Mesh!?

The learning curve really applies to mesh wick builds, cotton genny builds are more quite a bit easier. Better with mesh? I think so, but it probably comes down to personal taste. I think there are vapers who do know how to make mesh wick builds who simply prefer other devices. My :2c: is that...

Semovar and Provari would apparently share the same failing.

"Rugged" is not an exaggeration. Yesterday there was a mishap in which my ProVari was literally flung across the room, leaving a big hole in the drywall. I had to bang the top cap back into place (it ended up slightly out of skew), but other than that, not a scratch, and it still functions...

    Boba's hype.

You didn't like a single flavour out of seven? :( I've tried Thug Juice, and didn't especially like it, but it might benefit from steeping (it had that perfume-ish taste that steeping sometimes takes away). I also have a bottle of Hawk Sauce, as yet untried, and I was thinking of buying 555...

R91 Clone w/ SS wick - great success.

I shamelessly stole that picture from the internet, and I've been wondering how it was set up. It might be a Photoshop collage but, if not, I hope the gun wasn't loaded! -- Glenn
