Have to wonder why buy a device designed as a genisis device and plop fluff or silica in it when there are lots of devices designed to do just that.
As regards rope being better than straight mesh...personally prefer mesh. It is a learning curve to get it right but once you do for me there is...
You gas cooker will suffice. I used a BBQ first time. That seems a long time ago but only just over 2 years. Anyway using pliers get the mesh glowing for 10-15 seconds. Then roll the wick till it fits easily in the wick hole. Back to the cooker and again another 15 second glow. At this point...
I will be trying it in genys as mesh is my preferred wick material so most my attys reflect that. Not going to be seeing me take a drill to my HellFires no matter how good Rayon is though lol

Have been working my way though this mahoosive thread.
Thing is that I am not exactly a cotton wool fan at all but can see the convenience of it. Anyways curiosity has got the best of me so let eBay be my friend and have a box on the way.
Looking forward to trying it in one of my Roses and...

I have the original Stingray and yes you can fit a Kick in there. Not saying that it will work on the clone.
That said just wrap a 1 ohm coil and you will be golden with that set up.
