Well, you're right - more testing is need. Real testing. I would point out that the gum or lozenge do not produce clouds of vapor which do visibly hang in the air. I've had good luck with the LR attys. Just like you were using a regular 510 at 5-6v, you have to keep 'em wet and maybe shorten your button presses a bit. No doubt the extra heat (which is why they vape like 5v!) will shorten their life a bit though. Hoog said in an email today he had some... -
LR atty life span..
All attys are kinda hit or miss. LR attys are no different. You have to remember that the whole idea of an LR atty is to create the same watts (heat) that a regular atty does at 5-6v. Anyone who's been vaping for long with a HV device knows that the extra heat will shorten an atty's life... -
BB Extended Tube
Instead of speculating, do the experiment and see for yourself, as I did. Use a PT and a 2+amp USB hub. Post the results. You could be famous! Your next post is right. V=IR. So if your power supply is capable of 2 amps continuous, and your atty (or whatever) only draws 1.5 amps continually... -

Basic law of physics. Test it yourself. Make a resistor rig with an atty to hook up to your passthrough, which is plugged up to a USB port you know will push 5v, and more amps than you need. Wow, shipped yesterday, in the mailbox today! So far this little thing vapes great. Very well made, smooth threads, nice easy press button. The drip tips work very well also :) The 3.3 ohm (SLB?) atty that came with it does better at 5v, so I'm switching between a Joye 510, an LR 510, and a... -

Very true. Another thing to remember about the LR attys is you have to treat them like a 2.2 ohm Joye you're vaping at 5-6v. They get hot easily, so keep 'em wet, shorter drags, and if you notice them heating up, give 'em a little rest. And as with any atty - good luck ;)
