Just from personal experience. I got an instant headache from certain flavored juices. I cut out the flavors and I never get headaches anymore. Worth a try..
I quite like the sweet mellow taste of straight pg. If I add any flavors my nose gets stuffed up and I start sneezing. So no flavors for me and I like it just fine.
Thanks for the links, I read both.. The one link did say the reporter "believes" the eliquid being used was Intellicig (which is ecopure VG)
There have been no studies on the safety of inhaling VG so if it comes out that it builds up in the lungs and causes pneumonia it really wouldn't surprise...

I have found that any amount of VG will eventually cause chest pains or a high nic level in my case.. try using a 8-11 mg nic all pg and see if it helps.
My personal experience with VG:
