Well for me if the vendors say for advance users for rba's. Then I am an a advance user. I have rebuilt Novas, the AGA-T2 and my ZAP with no problems now. But I still don't feel like a pro!!!

I believe that the kanger head is bad. You can get a new head. (I had one that was bad right out the box.)
As for the nova rebuild. I had tried rewicking long and short. Found that when it got close to the bottom of the tank, I was getting
dry hits. So I started rebuilding them the same wick...

First you need to check out what the resistance really is. Attach to the Provari and check Ao. Then bump up the voltage till it taste great.
I have a Nova at 1.6 ohms (supposed to be 1.8) and mine is set to 3.9 volts.
If you do try to rebuild the AGA-T and it is your first time. Remember: Patience. If you get frustrated: Step away, before you throw it up against a wall. Yes I am telling you from experience. It took me about six hours to get one close and another couple of hours to get it right.
