Yes, technically both switches are mechanical switches. Steve just chose to label them as tac verses mechanical. The existing tac switch is limited in the power it can pass without damage. I may have to try that filler material but I'm still having a lot of success with the PB material. I have been using it with great success with my juice, which has about 30% VG, using a 14mm straw and a 5mm plug (dry). The plug will compress down to about 3mm after use. I did a rinse of the atty and have reprimed it and put it back to use. It's going to be hard to tell after only 1 run how the atty was effected. I did notice the bottom of the plug was brown but the top was very normal after a run. I like the idea of TB's experiment. I'm confident that using... -

OTD & TB, that's exactly what I have done. I put the tobacco loose into a 510 cart and let it soak in 24mg Virginia PG juice. After about 30 minutes I put in my Puff Buff plug, which is 8mm thick. That Nordic Ice tasted better this way than as snus in my mouth. I have vaped that cart down... -

I thought that at first too after using the Prodigy for a while. But, since then I have been changing up my cart mods and juice I really like the Protege too. If you get the right juice and the reservoir plug mod the Protege has a better taste overall. It just depends on what you are in the...- a2dcovert

Glad to hear that you are having success with this mod. I'm still using the puff buff pad in my carts with very good success. You are right to make adjustments as needed. I hope the crisis is over for now. You should have seen me eariler. I had a Nordic in each cheek and chain vaping at the same time. Problem was it wasn't helping. I was hitting the Prodigy until the atty got too hot then switched to the Protege and let the Prodigy cool down. Almost funny...- a2dcovert

Thanks to all. I used OTD's link and ordered the sample variety pack from General. This should at least let me know if I can get some relief from snus. Great offer, get to try 4 different flavors for 1.00. If this works for me I will go for choosing a favorite flavor later.- a2dcovert
