Too many 1st's in one day

Well, I'm still trying the Nordic Ice snus. It is slightly mint in taste when I first put it in my mouth. After a while you can taste the salt and tobacco. It seems too salty for me after about 15 to 20 minutes. But, this is my first experience and have no frame of reference. It definately not overpowering to me.
I will try more soon to see if I can get a better idea of what it is I am looking for. By the way, I went back to the store today to take a look at what other offerings they had and discovered that the box that this can came from had Discreet on it. I don't know why it is no where on the can but at least I know where it came from now.
So, in keeping with the theme my 1st impression was it is OK. It didn't do much for me but I have a long way to go before I am an expert.

.I don't know about this snus. I'm getting discouraged. I'm not sure what to try next. I know it won't be snuff! I won't settle for life as it is now. If I can't get "me" back with some kind of alternate source of WTA, I'll do whatever it takes to.
I've found the guys to be right about the Swedish snus, so far. I can't see a comparison to domestic other than "snus". What's your thought?
a2dcovert: Way to early to give up on snus. Almost everyone feels it's to salty at first. Within a few weeks at most the salt fads to the background and other flavors come through.
Not familiar with Nordic so can't help you there. Go on over to getsnus.com and get some Swedish snus. It's got the goods you're looking for, but you may have to sort through some flavors to find out what clicks for you. For the non-heavily flavored snus I like Ettan and 01. Both mild flavored and not too salty.

And if I could add my nooby 2 cents, I really like the Thunder Frosted Mini's. For me, it's a really mild spearmint and , that I can tell, pretty odorless. Mild pleasant taste and no smell are as important to me as the nic/alkaloid content. After the first few minutes I forget it's there. I don't know how you feel, a2d, but I was totally lost when shopping Getsnus. Having only been around the domestic variety, I didn't know where to start. OTD gave me some pointers and I took it from there. I think some of the flavors can probably knock your socks off (Dredbull should be able to verify), but pick out a flavor, being mindful of the nic content, and try a small order. Did a bit of research on Nordic and it's most definitely not up to speed. Unknown nicotine content, it's a mini, american made (from what I can find). To many unknowns to base your snus judgment on.
Never did find the nic level on the Nordic Ice but it may well be either too low or as Stubby has mentioned, the pH may not be optimized as the Swedish snus is.

Thanks to all. I used OTD's link and ordered the sample variety pack from General. This should at least let me know if I can get some relief from snus. Great offer, get to try 4 different flavors for 1.00. If this works for me I will go for choosing a favorite flavor later.
Now let's just hope that they ship it out as quickly as they have my past orders!
Good one, a2d. Nothing but a dollar to lose. Can't say for sure, since I did the WTA thing, (effects linger for a few days), but don't expect a "WHAM" when you start using it. The alkaloids kinda creep up on you when you're not looking. At least that's the way it worked for me. I just happened to notice that was feeling better, more like myself, after a day, but I didn't feel it coming on. After 2 days I'd say I was even finer. Would have preferred "WHAM", but that's where the snuff comes in....not a have to, just for the fun of it
I hope the crisis is over for now. You should have seen me eariler. I had a Nordic in each cheek and chain vaping at the same time. Problem was it wasn't helping. I was hitting the Prodigy until the atty got too hot then switched to the Protege and let the Prodigy cool down. Almost funny, if it had been someone else.
