That's a good idea too. I was thinking a slight overlap and wind it together with wire. I'll have to try next time. Right now I leave the wick long enough for about 5 pulls. After about 6-7 mls, the taste declines and it's time to pull the wick and snip. I figure after about 5 times, the coil...- Charlz

I've been doing that for a couple weeks now. I leave the wick long on one side and after a refill or two, just pull and snip. The coils don't gunk up the same as with silica. And when I'm at the end of my rope :) the coils dry burn super fast.- Charlz

It makes some difference on how hot you cook the juice but the more you dry burn and try to keep the coils in pristine condition, the better. I always remove the silicone. You need to keep an eye on what's going on and the quicker you can let those nasty toxic fumes burn away the better. I want... -

you can also try pulling up on the rubber cap that the tip screws on to. (The part with the metal piece attached.) It can get pushed down to far and pinch the wicks. If you stick a pin in the metal hole, you can wiggle it up a little. While you are there, fluff the wicks a little with the pin...- Charlz

If you squeeze the nipple side in a pair if needle nose, it cracks.....rotate it 90 and repeat. If you keep the pliers right next to the lip that keeps it in place, it breaks off clean at the base. Haven't widened the silicon because it doesn't matter when the metal piece is reinserted. However...- Charlz

If it's a quick dry burn to clean it off after you've vaped through it, it should be fine. The bottom line is coils should look nice and white and the coil should glow with no dark spots. It's just easier to get the gunk off if it's been soaked and alcohol helps it sizzle. Use caution when dry... -

clean all your contact points with alcohol and a hard toothbrush. I've had it happen before and untightening just a little bit sometimes works. Screw it on tight and just back it off a little. Usually it's a sign that the resistance wire isn't making proper contact or it's crossed somewhere...- Charlz

Mountain Vapor, Northwest Vapors and Cropduster 901 are the best places for the echo. Some of the kits come with dual coils so watch out. Why Can't I Taste My Juice Anymore?
Could be meds....could also be vitamin deficiency. Last time it happened to me, someone recommended zinc. I think it worked. Halls makes a cherry mint cough drop with echinacea and zinc. Very good for dry mouth and throat too. I think maybe the body repairing itself may use up vital nutrients... -
