Dual-Voltage NES Controller Mod w/ USB charging

Check the date on the original post ;) Nah, I had to cut away part of the PCB to make room for the battery and charging circuitry. What's left is really just there to hold the buttons/dpad and membrane in place. Also, I tapped into the PCB circuit to use the buttons to vape.

The PEP e-cig: A pretty GreenCig

It's still cheaper than those "free trial" scams on the radio, and it's certainly higher quality. I'm not saying I'd ever buy one (or even recommend it), but the markup isn't too egregious for what it is, and there is certainly a market for a "premium" ecig. Nice review, Don. Keep it up!

About Low Resistance and Specific batteries

Just to make it a bit more complicated, standard ecig power units (510, 901, etc) and ego-like units actually use a crude PWM circuit to run at ~3.2 volts. This means the batteries are actually under less stress than the calculations thus far provided would indicate - both because of the lower...

    Need 1st Mod Suggestions please

The ego and clones actually run at 3.2V compared to 3.7V for the vapestack or any other mod. It doesn't seem like much of a difference, but it's definitely noticeable - especially with LR attys.

Man, the Bauway LR attys are junk.

I gave up on carts a while ago, but I can confirm that bauway LR attys work great for dripping.

    14500 Box Mod Starter Kit?

I did think of Ken's, but he doesn't sell juice and his site is awkwardly designed. You can't link directly to a product, but instead have to choose everything from drop down boxes. I was really hoping somebody already sold a proper starter kit, but I guess not.

Why isn't there ANY mods that just fit all atties? IT'S EASY!!!!???????

Adapters are cheap and exist. Some sort of adjustable PV-sized chuck would be significantly more expensive than a simple adapter and does not currently exist. An adjustable adapter would also be larger, heavier, and more likely to break than the existing options. People aren't opposed to the...

    14500 Box Mod Starter Kit?

I've built at least half a dozen box mods with madvapes parts. The thing is, I'd like to stop having to build them. I'd like to be able to send people to a website where they can buy everything they need in one nice package and not ask me to do it for them. standard 510/901/ego starter kits...

    14500 Box Mod Starter Kit?

Does anybody make/sell 14500 box mod in a complete starter kit? By "complete", I mean with a battery, charger, LR atty, drip tip and liquid. If not, does any shop sell all this stuff that I might convince to create a package deal for it all? I'm tired of having to send people a half a dozen...

What Would You Like To See MadVapes Carry?

AW IMR high drain batteries. Now that everybody is starting to realize the issues with low-drain cells and LR attys, it would probably be a good idea to carry high-drain alternatives. I've been very happy with the AW cells, but I'd much rather buy them from MV than lighthound

About Low Resistance and Specific batteries

This is a key point that should not be overlooked. Discharge rate (amps) is dependent on capacity, so larger "low discharge" batteries should still be able to keep up with LR attys. The problem is that few batteries actually have C ratings, and even the ones that do may not be accurate. The...

    Passthroughs

I had all sorts of problems with PTs until I gave up and built my own. I used a 1xAA battery box, horn switch and 510 connector from madvapes and a USB cable I had lying around. Total cost was under $7 and it hasn't given me a single problem in about 4 months of constant use. You'll also need...

Maybe I should have not bragged.

If price is a concern, you can make a 14500 box mod for under $30 including LR atty, battery and charger. It will outlast and outperform an ego, and the batteries are much cheaper to replace when they finally go bad. I've made half a dozen of these for co-workers who were interested in...

    Need 1st Mod Suggestions please

There is a significant difference between a 3.7V/LR setup and a 5V/standard setup. On paper, the watts are fairly close, but in practice, most 3.7V batteries are not capable of providing the amps necessary to provide full wattage. If you measure the voltage under load from a 3.7V mod with a LR...

    vapor renu.....yummmm

Never tried the double flavor option. One of the reasons I like vapor renu juice for my all-day vape is because none of the flavors are overpowering. I imagine the double shot would be pretty intense.

    vapor renu.....yummmm

I got a bottle of Creamberry with my last order, and it is definitely my favorite flavor so far. Their rootbeer float is also great. It has some actual rootbeer-like "bite" to it that is hard to explain, but really awesome. I was one of the first to take a chance on Vapor Renu when they...

So the definitive "Let your new juices age" Thread

Vapor Renu juices definitely need a couple days to "mature" before they taste right. Blackberry and Mango specifically are very tart when fresh, but get noticeably sweeter after a few days.

    Review - The J0ker

I don't know if you guys were just extremely unlucky or if the joker has undergone an internal redesign, but none of these issues exist with the joker I bought last week. Risking cardiac arrest in the name of science, I just vaped 20 drops (~1ml) of low nic liquid over the course of 15 min...

Madvapes Shorty Delrin Drip Tips are Perfect

I held off on drip tips for the longest time because they were silly-expensive. OK, maybe $10-15 isn't going to break the bank, but it's just too much to pay for a few cents worth of plastic or metal. I finally broke down and bought one of the nickle-plated tips from good prophets a few months...
