Really, is the cover on the rx200s plastic? All my rx200 are metal. My most used one has been dropped repeatedly, and fairly severely at times, and while it looks pretty beat up it's working fine.

I get it, but I don't get how that would be applicable in this situation, unless the mod would indeed fire like a mech.

A regulated device won't simply function like a mech if it fails. Most likely it simply won't work. Perhaps it might fire continuously, perhaps even at the highest wattage, but even in those cases resistance doesn't really factor in. It would be an astonishing series of combined failures for a...
1. No matter what it's called, amp draw should be calculated correctly.
2. Sure, but in that case the maximum volts the device can fire at should also be taken into account. A regulated mod won't simply act like a mech mod if the safeties fail.

What's your wattage? I'm guessing that you're getting the message due to the voltage under load being low due to a too watt setting.

I've settled into a hobbit hole myself. A budget one. A major upside is that I'm making a saving on electrical bills. The downside is that I don't have any electricity. Makes charging 18650s a tad bit difficult, but I'm thinking about arranging something with electric eels, or positive...
Having a house! It's about time someone brought that up! A lot of problems can be solved by avoiding having a house, or an apartment.

The Innokin SVD was my first vw mod. Still works :-), but doesn't see any use anymore :-/ Had a Vamo for a brief time as well but broke it by dropping it on a stone floor :'( I kinda miss tube mods now...

Sorry, but from what you've written it seems clear that you don't know enough. You may have information, but you haven't processed it. Firing a coil with unknown resistance, you wouldn't do that if you truly understood the dangers. And (possibly) a .1Ω on a single cell mech, using a 20-amp...
As long as the 20700 fit the Xtar will charge them just fine. Not sure if they fit though.
Edit: there's a post in the batteries and chargers subforum that claims that the vc4 will fit 20700 cells.

With a vw mod you use watts law, not ohms law to calculate the amp draw:
Watts / cutoff voltage (around 6v on the Skyhook as it's dual-battery series, but check the voltage at cutoff to know for sure) = amps. Note that you should also account for chip inefficiency so you should add 10% or so to...
