Time for a high end mec

I vote for VapeHead Origins (perhaps a Cronus?). I've been a fan ever since I accidentally vaped a battery in my Titan down to 3.2 volts without noticing a difference, which to me is amazing. They have a new mod and rebuildable atomizer coming out that I'm eagerly waiting for. :-)

    A few questions...

... about my new Provari. First off, I'm absolutely loving it. But, like any mod I own, I want to protect it from harm's way and the treacheries of a harsh world. So I have a few questions about the durability and longevity. First is about the 510 connection. The threads are stainless, so I'm...

    what RBA to get?

I'm rocking my Kayfun 3.1 on my Provari as I type this. Possibly my favorite atomizer system, besides drippers. I also have a Russian 91%, and will be using it as soon as I get a higher ohm coil on it. Either one, you can't go wrong!

    So something funny happened today...

Awesome! Any tips on how best to clean it? And how often? Can I just run it under water like my mechs? (I'm just kidding, of course). I consider myself a near expert on mechanicals and rebuildables... this is way different. I feel like a noob again!

    So something funny happened today...

So today, I went to my local vape shop. Only the second time I've been there, I just wanted a few bottles of juice. I walked into the door, and saw a few Provari's in the glass showcase. I said out loud, "Oh, you have Provari's!" Then I saw it, and said, in a much lower, more contemplative tone...

    Need advice steampunking Sentinel clone

An easier way to "age" brass is to put it in a container with some ammonia solution. Make sure it is raised, like on a mini platform, with the ammonia around the bottom, so that only the fumes hit the brass, and seal the container. This is a case where the longer you wait, the more the brass...

    Nemesis: The Sun's Evil Twin

Nonsense. If Nemesis actually existed, it's gravitational field alone would have given it away by now. It's just like Nibiru... I love the ideas, but sadly real science must prevail.

Which countries have outlawed and why?

I seem to remember reading that it's banned in Russia... but something strange is going on with Russia anyway.

Need advice on current A7 rebuild

No, keep the cotton through the coil. Poor airflow usually results in too much throat hit, so I doubt it's that. When you tested the coil, did it light up nice and evenly? Also, what device are you using it on? I'd say try a microcoil out. It doesn't look like one from your pictures, but...

"Clones" are actually the REAL THING

I never claimed you couldn't. But what I can say is that I'm inclined to believe someone shelling out 200 bucks for a Nemesis and 100 for a dripper is likely to be more experienced than someone who just spend 25 on a counterfeit along with a 6 dollar dripper with chromed brass posts. Being...

"Clones" are actually the REAL THING

True, true... but I'll still give them credit for actually listening to people and changing their product. Either way, I'll stick to my Nimbus from now on for my shiny dripper. The IGO-L was a PITA to set up anyway. :P There is a ratio involved here... even a 200 dollar watch "clone" compared...

First Mech Mod... looking for something with color or girly looking

If you don't mind paying for a high end mod, VHO makes a pink Titan... https://vapeheadusa.com/bags-cases/titan-v15-pink-panther

"Clones" are actually the REAL THING

I just did... and maybe mine is a v2 or something, because it's either stainless, or the thickest chrome plating I've ever seen.

"Clones" are actually the REAL THING

Stainless steel will not rust, and the only chemicals that have a really bad reaction on it (both 304 and 316) are halogen-based chemicals (iodine, hydrofluoric acid, hydrochloric acid, hydrobromic acid). In fact, citric acid is rumored to help stainless steel in passivation, which is it induces...

"Clones" are actually the REAL THING

We absolutely vape acid! Whenever a juice you have is very sour, that's usually the product of an acid (citric and malic are the usual suspects). I'll also add quick that these are perfectly safe, and are naturally found in many fruits. Before I really got into high end stuff, I had a Squid RDA...

getting a couple rba's, help please

In all honesty, there aren't that many cheap rebuildables made for bottom feeding. You'll want something with side airflow, so you can at least drill it out. Your best option might just be a Reomizer, from Reos Mods. It's not stainless steel, which is what I usually prefer, but for a bit less...

Kayfun Lite Clone way too Harsh!?!?

My Kayfun 3.1 and Russian 91% gives awesome throat hit, even at 12mg and about 1 ohm. But chances are, with your setup, there's an issue with airflow. Open up your Kayfun (clone) and make sure the coil is directly on top of the air hole. If it has adjustable airflow, you can open it up a little...

    APV cleaning/maintenance thread?

There's one very special tool that no mechanical user should be without... A toothbrush! Buy a designated toothbrush (as soft as you can find) for your mechanicals. When it comes time for cleaning, just take everything apart (even the switch) and fill a glass with a little detergent and hot...

"Clones" are actually the REAL THING

The 4-post design of the Helios is patented... but that didn't stop China (or even America!) from ripping it off. And it's not even like it's an "amazing innovation", it's just a really good idea, and VHO deserves credit.
