Steeping Times and an Ultrasonic Cleaner Part III

Hey All, I’ve got to make up a batch of 555 and Desert Ship today so what do y’all think about this: 4 hours in the UC is 240 minutes/30 eight minute cycles. Water temp straight from the faucet is 68 degrees Fahrenheit. If I keep adding ice cubes to the tank each time I restart a...

Steeping Times and an Ultrasonic Cleaner Part III

Hey Danny - But for my juices 102 degrees Fahrenheit is nowhere near "heat." The tobacco flavors I make mature in 4 - 5 hours because of the UC's good vibrations. But ... perhaps more complex recipes make it a whole different ballgame? Regardless ... I can't wait (oh sure I can) for my current...

Steeping Times and an Ultrasonic Cleaner Part III

Following Mike's experiments re: heat as a speed steeping factor I was inspired to fool around myself. I use this UC: http://www.harborfreight.com/25-liter-ultrasonic-cleaner-95563.html It wasn't the priciest unit around ($75 plus shipping), and it wasn't a tremendous upgrade from...

Steeping Times and an Ultrasonic Cleaner Part III

But before I drift I just wanna say the Heat Steeping Experiments are downright intriguing. V4L sent me a ton of stuff to review months ago and I Finally Finished so ... I want to share with my Steeping DiYers.

I just finished this today: Proof you don't need to drop your fave format to broaden your vaping horizons.

    The 808 Universe Revisited ...

I got a ton of stuff from V4L months ago and I finally finished the review. I had waaaaay to much playing around with The New Toys.

What Lies Beyond Twists & Spinners

I'm guessing the battery isn't replaceable? I'm looking pessimistically towards vaping zombie apocalypse where the mod has to be very durable and the batteries will always be available. As for loving vaping ... I started doing that with my 808 starter kit. And it just keeps getting better.

Steeping Times and an Ultrasonic Cleaner Part III

As much as I'd like to ... it's kinda problematic. Health Canada is as weird as the FDA is and it takes 10-13 days for stuff to arrive in the mail. By the time I get it, if it gets through, the results would have been in for days. No idea at all. You have to understand though that everybody...

The Best Starter Kit I’ve Ever Seen

Hey All, According my counter I’ve been vaping for 4 years and two months, saved $10, 655.34, and not smoked 30,444 cigarettes. To be completely honest during the first two years I tried to smoke a cigarette twice to compare the experience with vaping and couldn’t finish them. Couldn’t get...

Yeah we definitely need a RY4 aficionado to taste test. I vote Danny.

Steeping Times and an Ultrasonic Cleaner Part III

Glass is best all around. In the UC it doesn't dampen the UC effects and in hot water there's no issue about plastic leeching.

Steeping Times and an Ultrasonic Cleaner Part III

The best way to find out is give it a test. Make up a sample and keep it in 135 F water for 3 (or more) hours. If the juice tastes great the next day ... you've saved yourself some money because as rowdyplace pointed out, Crockpots are a heck of a lot cheaper than a good UC.

Steeping Times and an Ultrasonic Cleaner Part III

When I first started vaping, and then DIY'ing, I was a 100% PG All Tobacco - All the Time vaper. A couple of batches ago I added VG to the mix so now I'm a 70/30 guy. When I was using 100% PG the bottles stayed in the UC for 3-4 hours. The thicker 70/30 juices need an extra hour. My UC has...

Steeping Times and an Ultrasonic Cleaner Part III

Mike's shown the Strawberry juice he made steeped in hot water for 3 hours was very close/same as 3 hours in a UC. It's a different story for tobacco juices. 8 hours of hot water (with lots of shaking) didn't discernibly speed up the process for the 3 tobacco flavors I made. It wasn't until I...

What Lies Beyond Twists & Spinners

It does look like the 'next step' up from eGo-esque Twists/Spinners but I guess I'm looking for a bigger step. A tube that holds an 18650.

Hey All, I’ve been a VV Vaper for a couple of years now using a Dial-A-Volt, Go-Go Fury, the eGo Twist, and the E-Max Twist. My preferred devices on these VV batts are the Go-Go M1 tanks, the miniViviNovas, MaxVaper’s JK65, E-Max Tanks, and the E-Max V2 Clear tanks. Though I like the...

Steeping Times and an Ultrasonic Cleaner Part III

Here I go with a couple of assumptions knowing full well the slippery slope that is. I was under the assumption that non-tobacco juices didn't require the same steep times that tobacco flavors do. I've read of folks mixing up fruit flavors and vaping them immediately or at most a day or so...
