    Yes you can delete. I wasn't even aware that directory was being created. It appears that InstallShield, the installation program, creates the files during the installation process.

    In the "Tools->Options" there is a tab labeled "Backup options". I highly recommend that you choose one of the auto backup options. If backups are on you can go to "File->Restore from backups" if something happens to your juice file.
