    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

I'm frankly surprised at the number of large-chamber (20-22mm diameter) dripping atomizers that keep hitting the market. FastTech seems to have 20 new clones every week. I have some larger capacity tanks (Kayfuns, Aspire Nautilus) in service, plus a whole battalion of J2 Evod clones and Kanger...

Slow Cooker Extraction of Tobacco and Tea

Yes, anything is possible. We're dealing with many factors/variables we don't know and can't control. What surprises me is the high percentage of successes. No, I'm not in love with all 45 of my extracts. Some are good in the beginning but fade in my estimation over time. Others were...

Slow Cooker Extraction of Tobacco and Tea

Macerated tobacco extracts (and the juices made from them) need steeping time for the unadulterated tobacco-ness to develop, deepen, and move forward in the flavor profile to compete against (and ultimately complement) the other, non-tobacco casings/toppings, which are likely to taste stronger...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

    I agree. That's not a sale, it's a high-volume discount.

    Nope, haven't tried it.

    Cold maceration of tobacco

John, I've ordered a pack of the Ahlstrom 2.5 micron filters from Amazon. The text description said a pack of 10, but the title of the page says a pack of 100. I assume they'll send 100 for $12. I plan to use the 9cm filters in my French Press on held in place by the 5 micron poly felt. I...

Regular Atty Drippers (A Dying Breed?)

Yes, a 3.5 ohm atomizer screams for at least 5 volts. Using 3.7 volts on that atty is like kissin' yer sister, since you're vaping at only 4 watts. Pretty anemic. 5 volts gets you up to 7 watts, which is OK, but 6 volts would produce 10 watts of power and be a much tastier vape.

Slow Cooker Extraction of Tobacco and Tea

Oh yes, there's a reason why both QuickNic and MountainOakVapors are in the A-tier of retail NET vendors on the Natural Tobaccos thread. Rich at QnJ and Steve at MOV crank out some pretty mean macerations. Seriously high-quality stuff. I just got a new 30ml bottle of QnJ ouR whY qu4tro in the...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Yes, that's the downside of a hobby about which I am both compulsive and prodigious. If I lived someplace where people could come over to my house and fill up their own bottles with my extracts, that'd be great, but I live in a tiny town at the extreme western edge of the continent, so no one...

Slow Cooker Extraction of Tobacco and Tea

QuickNicJuice sells a retail NET called Habana Daydream. Since the description on the QnJ web site of the tobaccos used in the extraction is identical to the description of the C&D blend on the Pipes&Cigars site, I'm inclined to think that QnJ's liquid is probably extracted from the Cornell &...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Our pets are about as close as any of us are likely to get to unconditional love. The problem, of course, is that they don't live as long as we do, so hello-goodbye is built in. Judging from my own experience, nothing except the passage of time will assuage the heartache of saying goodbye to a...

    Nicotine Comparisons

First off, mixmatchliquids appears to operate out of Cyprus, an island in the Mediterranean, south of Turkey and east of Lebanon. Fine for you in Norway, perhaps, but not exactly ideal for us here in the U.S. Second, mixmatch sells liquid nic only in small 100ml bottles. Most participants on...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

We can, and do, go back and forth on this thread discussing whether Diane's NETs at MVJ are just right in flavor or too light (camps based on subjective opinion and personal preference), but her exceptional and gracious generosity is unquestioned. I have often called Diane "the hardest-working...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Way back when (2011), when VermillionRiver started out as an online juice vendor, I vaped a lot of their Kentucky Blend and Kentucky Vanilla. Those two were staples of my daily liquids for about a year. Along the way, I tried other VR spin-offs---Kentucky Maplewood, Blend No. 7, KY4, and KMaxx...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

I just atty-dripped some two-year-old Vermillion River Kentucky Maplewood I had in deep storage. The taste of the maple component is in line with my memory---mild, slightly sweet, leaning more toward maple flavor than maple syrup. What surprised me was the tobacco element. I haven't vaped any...

The Really Big RY4 Roundup (long)

Yes, the description on the Gold Rising product page of the Ahlusion web site baffles me: "Our take on the highly sought after RY4." What? Gold Rising sure doesn't taste like any Classic RY4 I've ever had, and even for a Custom RY4, it pushes the flavor envelope too far from the RY4 flavor...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Your 84 cotton rounds cost 3¢ to grow, 2¢ to manufacture, and might have cost you a buck retail at the dollar store. Put them in your medicine chest and stick with KGD.

Regular Atty Drippers (A Dying Breed?)

That's a standard resistance (2.3-2.8 ohm) generic 510 atomizer, designed to work with a 510 tank, which is a system that came and went more than two years ago. Apparently the atties have a spike as part of the bridge that punctures the seal of the tank. At the price (5 for $1.43 each shipped)...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

I second that emotion. Kho Gen Do is the bee's knees. Rayon is a 9, but KGD is a 10, even though it burns a little more easily and has to be changed more often. The flavor comes through with a little sticker that goes right to my brain. The sticker reads: "100% Pure Flavor."

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

I won't head off to the clinic to give a sample of my seed just yet. LOL. Nor will I start a college fund for little Reggie. Double LOL. We'll wait to see if the Cornell & Diehl Autumn Evening is any good.
