    It applies to larger mass coils. You'd experience the same results with naked (single wire) 20g-22g Ka1 Even naked 24g Kanthal has a slower ramp time than I'd prefer (I don't usually build below .2 for my single batt. mechs.)

    :pervy: I tried a few times to make one pretty but really couldn't. Kept deforming on me. Probably shoulda used lower gauge and not wrapped in parallel. After watching the vid, I really see why. Never annealed the thing. Now I gotta get a torch.

    Now this is more like it: @MMW Not your average squonk pin:eek:.... A concern for me would be the thin mesh wire as it degrades from use and abuse. Thinking out loud, bits o'wire could eventually (the frayed edges especially) break off and be inhaled...

    I would say yes, since it doesn't look like rolled mesh that would be used for wicking. But what if we layered the mesh... and instead of an arc, like the picture shows, we create a "dip" or wave that gets the wire closer to the base....

    Just ran across VVs new MESH RDA. First I've heard of using wire mesh as coil material, as opposed to wicking material. Apparently they have their own line of Mesh wire Ka, Ni and SS. Anyone built a "coil" using Mesh wire?? I'd imagine flavor and vapor production to be intense... Maybe...

    Alright, I found just the right tank for this Hurakan (the only 30mm RTA I have really). Say hello to my large friend: Evil Eye Big Buddha built with dual coils (30g KA1 twisted with .5 mm SS ribbon @ .51 Ohm) set to 40 watts. It vapes so well, I'll be stuck on this setup for a while.
