Sorry,
Quite right , not enough info.
It's an RM2, 28g wire, 9 wraps, boiled cotton, 1/16 drill bit. So that makes it a micro as I understand it.
Back to you...
J.
I have a coil that has just been hitting like a super champ.
but after 3-4 days it's starting to look like it needs a quick dry burn to freshen things up.
i tried this once before, and munched the coil trying to get the wick out.
i want to try again...
i don't over pack my coils with cotton, but...
I, just now.. achieved the Holy Grail of Motorcycling.
There is no way to overstate the importance of this milestone.
A coffee. Carried home. On a bike. Not a drop spilled (ok, it was less than a Klm and all in 2nd gear. BUT STILL) . No extra equipment used.
No mess, no fuss.
This coffee I'm...
WOOT !
What are your thoughts?
I have CLS, CB and H1N1 on their way from Nicoticket... 2 weeks shipping to Oz.. *sigh*
What do you think of it so far ?
j.
Yup.
What they said.
I wrap 28 at 9-10 coils for 1.2 Ohm.
I'm going to slowly drop my wraps as I get better at making coils to try to consistently hit 1 ohm.
Seems 7-8 wraps of 28 is the sweet spot.

Yep, that's another one. Those Yams are the last of an era to be sure.
Back a few bikes I had a GSX-1400. Very similar idea.
Old school muscle-bike, but a modern interpretation.
I miss that thing.
I'm kina a Busa guy at heart. I like the over-engineered big lumps.
The Pani is my first foray...
I REALLY like SV650's.
I actually was saying to a friend the other day that I think they are set to become a bit of a modern classic. They just do EVERYthing well and look good to boot.
I like em'

The numbers do really tell the story pretty well...
195 HP is a big number for sure. But combined with the fact that it weighs almost nothing, just makes it mind-boggling.
I've had it for 18 months, and I've had a lot of bikes in the past.. but this one... this one is an event. Every single...
No, but I do think I need to drop my nic level from 12 to 6 now !
I would keep you posted, but Rob is suggesting a few things and I don't want to breach the "private" part of "Private Messages"
sxmx,
you're cotton wick tutorials are amazing.
I followed your instructions and made my first coil without too much panic.
Thank you.
My next coil, I'd like to try some of the silica wick I bought from Rob.
Can someone recommend a video for me ?
I will definitely take your advice guys.
Thank you so much.
BUT, right now I have it firing ! So I'm sitting back for a few minutes just enjoying a vape on MBV Cinnamon Roll for a bit.
Once my blood pressure is back to normal, I'll take it apart and try to turn the post by hand a little more...
After
1 mth of indecision..
2 weeks of shipping...
2 hrs of coil-building research..
1 janky RM2 post. (will be resolved soon I'm sure)
1 noob-coil that is popping hissing and generally making it's presence felt in the house..
Here she is.
Ain't she purdy ?
I dunno.
Yet.
(see post about spinning post)
I did fire it quickly on the Evic, just to make sure all was well. It glowed beautifully and evenly.
0.9 ohm. (according to the Evic, not sure how accurate it is at sub-ohm levels...)
9 wraps 28g.
boiled cotton wick.
I'm BUSTING to try it..
Looks...
