    VaporShark rDNA

Tried a nickel build in my Plumeveil with similar results as the Atomic so I don't think it's the RDA construction itself. Tried the post screw instead of the post hole ... just about everything I can think of. In the end, don't think it's possible to get the vape I enjoy in the 400-420...

Which leads me to think the Atomic could be part of the problem. The screw posts are nice and tight so it's not a connection problem at the posts.

    VaporShark rDNA

Weird ... now it's firing more like it should. Hopefully this isn't a sign of the perceived inconsistency some people have with the chip. Maybe it's my build. I was starting to think that it was the Atomic rda. I mean ... it IS a smaller, thicker, stainless steel (maintains more heat which...

Oh great ... now it's firing at 3 watts with 40 watt setting. LOL

    VaporShark rDNA

Odd ... when I hold down the power at higher wattages, it never displays that "boost power", rather seems to push LOWER wattages at first and goes even lower as I hold the power button. With my current build it seems I can only fire at 5 watts in order to maintain 420 degrees. Anything...

I'm running 8 wraps of 30 gauge @ 0.18 ohms on my atomic. Slightly spaced coils with Koh Gen Do cotton. I've been running at 25-40 watts and the TC starts throttling 3-4 seconds after fire. It's a very satisfying vape and really the only thing it's missing compared to a normal regulated...

    VaporShark rDNA

Have a nice build on my atomic running in temp control mode. Wattage drops off pretty dang quick but it's a pretty satisfying vape. Seriously though, has anyone got a build on a DNA 40 that DOESN'T throttle within a few seconds? Seems almost impossible on a RDA. Seems to stay at the...

Does your resistance change as well when switching from TC to standard as well Alxx? I'm sure part of my issue is the build. I'm not use to high gauge wire anymore and this 30 gauge is just killn me. lol

    VaporShark rDNA

Yeah, I noticed it's not hitting as hard as well. Wonder what the TRUE wattage is in temp control (even before it hits the temp limit) because it seems significantly lower to me.

Anyone else get COMPLETELY different resistances when changing between temp control and regulated? When in regulated, my ohms are reading 0.35. When in temp control, my ohms are reading 0.13.

And bets as to when we will break the 500 watt barrier ?

I highly doubt it and frankly it would be a waste.

Perhaps VFlask will sell their loaner models for $150 too. lol

I am so far happy with 14-20 watts Why go higher?

True, but we are talking vapor here ... not food. Some juices taste better (or worse) at higher wattage. Bottom line to everyone is find what you like and enjoy. Everyone is different and there's no reason to question each others tastes (because they are ALL after all, personal preference)...

The DNA30 doesn't have step down (4 volts to 8.3 volts) but the DNA 40 does (1 volt to 9 volts). Thanks for the congrats.

Got my scratch and dent rDNA today and for the LIFE of me I can't find a single dent or scratch. I even took it outside in the sunlight and found absolutely nothing. Got my Goblin sitting on it and vaping some DIY Gummy Cola ... long Monday at work but the day just got better! After 3-4 days...

My scratch n dent rDNA is currently at the state capital .. lol (Two USPS delays in a week while NEVER having a delay before ... awesome luck!). Hopefully it comes tomorrow but looks like Tuesday at the latest. Better get here before Wed because I'll be at the hospital saying hello to my...

And you certainly have a right to your opinion. I'm well aware of the drawbacks and pros to just about every device out on the market atm but at the end of the day it's my money and I made a decision based on my personal preferences. $60 is $60 ... especially when you're bringing a new child...

I am so far happy with 14-20 watts Why go higher?

Um ... no. A 26 watt vape is going to be different than a 13 watt vape. And of course the amps are going to go up ... you're pushing more wattage with less resistance. All you did was double your resistance and half your wattage in this example .... even further proving they are completely...

I am so far happy with 14-20 watts Why go higher?

It's not a lie ... it's a fact. At higher wattages the juice breaks down faster causing nicotine volume to increase on the draw. It's why most people lower their nicotine levels at higher wattage. If you can't FEEL the extra nicotine in your system at higher wattages ... you're doing it wrong.

I am so far happy with 14-20 watts Why go higher?

Some people prefer a more intense and stronger "hit" of nicotine that can only be achieved at higher wattage. Some people prefer a much hotter vape which can only be achieved at higher wattage. That's two legitimate reasons why some may vape at higher wattage.
