My scratch n dent rDNA is currently at the state capital .. lol (Two USPS delays in a week while NEVER having a delay before ... awesome luck!). Hopefully it comes tomorrow but looks like Tuesday at the latest. Better get here before Wed because I'll be at the hospital saying hello to my new baby boy.

I'll look for scratches n such (take pictures if there's something worthy) and report back. Hoping I have good luck with my chip. Planning to use it for 3-4 days in regulated mode, then using 3-4 days in temp control to see what happens. We shall see!

I have been using VS rDNA 40 a couple of weeks now. My mod was made 2/10/15 w/large screen. I have had screen scrambling issues but I feel it was caused by a dual 28ga build I tried on an Orchid. The resistance was only .07ohm. Thats below operating spec and it doesn't occur on .13ohm single coil builds. The other thing is I normally use nichrome 80 if not using temp protection. The problem is it still tries to limit temp using nichrome. At least it did when the build was fresh. I just reattached a Goblin with dual nichrome 80 .4ohm and the temp blanks out when fired as it should. Go figure, I just refilled the tank and guess the coils are seasoned now. I have yet to get a dual 30ga Ni-200 build to operate. The Ni-200 wire is so flimsy its a fine line to get a good connection without shearing and then wick without distorting. I have seen where some folks spin a single strand of wire with a drill to strengthen/straighten. Anybody here doing this? I am normally a contact coil builder but am thinking spaced may be the way to go for temp builds. Overall I'm very pleased with VS. The battery indicator would be better served as a % EVOLVE. I get a better vape out of rebuilding the Kanger replaceable coils with nickel than using the buildable housing on the submini. One last thing, temp builds seem to gunk sooner. Anyone else noticing this?

I asked this too. Hate to tell you this but if it has glitched it will do it again. The build doesn't make it glitch. I had one same build date and it did the same thing.

I would wait about a month if you can. That's what I'm going to do, just to make sure I get the latest fixed board.

I'm not sure if I'm going to wait anymore only because I now have the DNA 40 to use while I send the rDNA 40 back. Buying the smaller VS as a back up TP mod was a great idea. Took all the stress off of sending back the rDNA. I've converted all but 1 tank to nickel so I can keep using them all without having to rebuild to kanthal, then back to nickel again. So sending it back now really doesn't make a difference to me anymore. I emailed VS about it this morning asking about waiting and I'll see what they say. But if they want it back now I'm just going to send it. They are paying the postage both ways, and I now have a TP back up, so I might as well just send it back.

Got my scratch and dent rDNA today and for the LIFE of me I can't find a single dent or scratch. I even took it outside in the sunlight and found absolutely nothing.

Got my Goblin sitting on it and vaping some DIY Gummy Cola ... long Monday at work but the day just got better! After 3-4 days I'll switch over to temp control and report back once again.

I just got off the phone with Vaporshark and Evolv.

Vaporshark response: The guy who worked there said his has a glitch and doesn't affect the performance of the mod. He said if you get a perfect one you are lucky but 90% of them have bugs. As of right now they are not sure the glitches are out on this shpment.

Evolv response: They are confident the bugs are out of the big screen chips now. They sent a new batch this week to Vaporshark so within a month or two we will see the new chips in the Vaporshark. He did confirm the small screens are glitch free and out of the Vaporshark, Hana and Vaporflask the Vaporflask has the least amount of issues.

There was a lot more said but that is the short of it. So guess who is getting $300 of my money. The Flask! At least with the Flask I get a loaner if something happens to it while it is fixed.

TC I have a 2 day old scratch and dent as well, there are no defects. Even under a magnifier I couldn't find one. I'm willing to bet these are brand new units with smaller screens they're just trying to sell out so they don't have to work with multiple SKUs. Basically these are brand new units. They can't charge full price so they sell them at a lower price and basically get rid of them.

I susst all of this from reading the threads.

My VF is promised to arrive in 2-3 days. I will wait a short while then send my rDNA30 in for "rehab". With two (2) DNA40 devices for back up I don't much care if the rehab'ed 30 relapses. :)

I emailed about waiting to send my rDNA back. Checking on if I should wait until it looked like the issue was resolved yet or not. VS emailed back saying ... As of now Evolv is still working on a fix for this, although every unit we have has the most current board the screen issue is still there. As you said it will not affect the performance of the device whatsoever. But it can be annoying, and we understand.

He said I could send mine back now or wait if I liked since aside from the screen it vapes fine. I guess I'll wait a little longer.

Yeah, I noticed it's not hitting as hard as well. Wonder what the TRUE wattage is in temp control (even before it hits the temp limit) because it seems significantly lower to me.

I notice that with mine set at 420 degrees @ 12 watts and looking in a mirror it sometimes drops down to 8-9 watts. That's either with some older KFL's without adjustable air flow or KFL+'s with wicking issues. If I drain them, play with the wick some, then put it back together I'll end up with a consistent 12 watts.

Except for that damn Lemo which never works right and makes my screen go crazy. I'm leaving it as a back up kanthal tank. I'm not that happy with it to go spending time getting it to work. I like mouth to lung and it's too loose. I have to put tape over 2-3 holes and that's with the air turned all the way down.
