    RE: Coil-cleaning - I just straighten out the wire, wipe it tightly between my fingers using a plain paper towel. Cleans it right up. I can see the blackened gunk slide right off. Just sharing what works for me. And my coils gunk up quick too - every other day or so. I vape about 80 percent VG...

    I read on 'Just stainless steel wick & coil' thread that Kanthal A-1 is the best Kanthal wire to use. I have the A-1 and am pleased with it. I still want to try out some NiChrome next order though and compare them......

    I use it on the "OG Puck" - it works well at 4,8 or 6 Volts. I have around 1,7 to 2.4 OHMs after I do 4 wraps on the coil. 3 wraps burn the juice. 5 wraps takes too long to heat up. I got the Kanthal A-1 from a seller on Amazon.com named 'Sandvik'. I found I get a mild short if I let the Kanthal...

    LOL I'm feelin' that - I have been using a small magnifying glass with a handle on it! But it sure helps.. And I use a pair of tweezers with the tips filed sharp to pull and manipulate the Kanthal.

    I got 2 diff types of sheets from them too - the ones not #400 are #325 in my understanding. They should work well, however. I've not tried them yet, still on the #400, but from other threads they say the #325 works good for wicking. Please keep us posted on how they work, OK?

    What voltage u running this at? I did 3 wraps at 5 volts and burnt juice. GARF! So I went back to 4 wraps. 5 wraps and it took too long to heat coil. Just my 2 cents.

    5v mod with no resistors or regulators. Awesome battery life. Cheap as hell. No soldering/epoxy needed.

    My OG Puck with AAA will last me a day to day and a half, but the AA batts last 2 to 3 days. Of course, I vape for 30 to 60 minutes at a time too! LOL.

    Here's a pic of my latest work on 'The Puck' - I've been following Shpaolin's "The Line" thread and got the idea to make an 'all-in-one' Puck. It's a work in progress, but it vapes like a mother.

    I do. Very compact and everyone sees it just... WANTS ONE! LOL. I love my OG Puck! Wouldn't have anything else. I also have 2 AA Pucks as well. All work well.

    Well done! I used a dead 510 carto end for my connector as well. Just have the right thread adapter(s) on hand and you vape anything out there! I see you like the Energizer bunny too - and AA batts - I love the MaH on those motorscooters. I can vape solid for 2 to 3 days before recharges.

    Exactly! I've been vaping with 'The OG Puck' for several months now and have never looked back since. It makes your cartos come alive. And oh so cheap! so cheap. Vaping has never been more inexpensive..

    My 2 cents: I do my Genisis like Shpaolin does in his videos - turn it upside down and/or sideways for a second or two. Repeat sometimes twice or 3 times, and it makes it wick much better. Hope this helps.
