Now, while I won't test every mixed batch I make, I will test every bottle of nicotine I get. I think the trade off is small. Sacrificing 1 or 2ml of nic base, and sacrificing a little time is the only tradeoff apart from the cost of the testing supplies.
As far as mixed batches go I'll...
Nice to hear your expanding, have you ever considered selling empty graduated bottles to help DIYers? Ive been looking around for these in 20 or 30 ML sizes but can't find them anywhere. Not that they're 100% necessary but Id buy the hell out of those. :)
For the premixed Id buy bottles...
The shorty extension is something that screws onto your PV to extend the treads out further from the battery. Sort of like an adapter, but in this case the threads are identcal on both the male and female side. The one I have is 510 to 510.
Its useful on some PVs like the Maxi Roughstack...
Great idea with the marking of the bottles, I'll end up doing this if I can't find the graduated bottles I want.
My Roughstack is setup with 3.7 V batteries, If I ever go higher I'll probably try a 5v setup. Ive had no problems with lack of hit at 3.7 so I might just stick with it. 3.7...
I am planning on keeping my first few batches small. I was thinking 11 or 12 ML for my first mix, that way I can extract 1 or 2ML for nicotine testing and still have 10 to vape. That's what I'm use to anyway are 10ML bottles.
The larger bottle sizes Im getting are so that I have plenty...
I've read a good bit about variants of these and they have my attention despite some negative opinions floating around, but I'm waiting on them primarily to save money for other things. Budgets really suck, and sticking to them even more so.
I was interested more in the clear...
Very nice, that expands my options then. :) Only bad thing is that my monthly budget for November is going to be 60-70 bucks. That gives me enough money for one atty, maybe two if I'm lucky.
What I bought already is VG, PG, Nicotine, Distilled Water, and the Ebay testing kit. (that was...
I probably should have posted this before but here are the details about my PV, and the site I bought it from........
Maxi Roughstack V2
Its 510 threaded so I'll need a 510 atty, or a 510 to 306 adapter. The 2.5 ohms sounds like a good idea, I could go with a 510 2.5 ohm atty, but again I...
I hear ya, but im also thinking cartomizers and time. If i test too many liquids without the nicotine then I'll have too many cartomizers that will either need to be cleaned or tossed.
I know that dripping on attys is the preferred method for testing liquids but I've been so busy...
Cool, you answered one of the big questions I had as far as the mixing process. Most commonly a liquid will blend better with another liquid, if it is heated. Boiling helps liquids blend even more, but I ruled that one out on my own because I didn't want any steam leading to a loss in liquid...
Ive got my Ebay testing kit in the mail yesterday. I haven't tried it yet because I need to get distilled water, but I can say that the kit delivered fast, it was well packaged, nothing is missing, and everything looks to be in good shape. :)
I also decided to order my nicotine base, my PG...
Considering what Im reading in that forum, and this one, im starting to believe the site I went to is either being dishonest or terribly mislabeling their nicotine liquids. If not, holy ..... ! I mean 10 liters of pure nicotine, that's crazy...
other sizes were available all the way...
I found out the shipping classifications for this nicotine if it's of any use to those with experience dealing with hazardous materials, since their was some debate about it...
DOT classification: class 6.1 poisonous material
Packing group: II
Hazard Label: Toxic Substances
Im actually...
You read my mind :) No sense having pure nicotine sitting around, or having to deal with it every time I mix. If I did this Id buy something like 250 ml of PG, and dilute the nicotine into that ASAP. Then I wouldn't have to mess with pure nicotine again for months.
Not the nicotine I looked at unless they are doing a terrible job of explaining themselves. Here is how the liquid was described on their site word for word....
and this was some of my conversation with the representative I talked to........
The conversation went on from their but we got...
So Ive heard much to confirm what I had already suspected. Pure nicotine is very dangerous, and mixing it should not be taken lightly. However if its being sold to private citizens then I know it's being mixed by them as well, without a lab being required.
I still have many questions...
On the topic of shipping, I can say this much. The site that I went to was selling this nicotine to anyone apparently, as long as they were an adult. they had instructions for proper mixing ratios as well, in fact the entire site looked like it was tailored for everyday consumers, not...
I edited my original post to take out the references to where I was looking to perhaps buy nicotine. Not sure if this was necessary but I dont want to give anyone the impression that Im promoting this idea or a website, which could in turn lead to the forum being closed
Before I edit this post, let me be sure here. I can just remove the references on where to I was looking to buy the nicotine, or is this whole forum toast as soon as a moderator comes along?
I knew this was dangerous, which is why I mentioned Id be concerned about safety if I ever tried this. what is it id need to edit in the post specifically? Id be glad to help out if I can.
