Similar to what you are saying. I was talking about removing the sleeve and making a hole just above the press fitting. This would make it so that the stainless mesh contacts the liquids. That way there is less risk of flooding. The mesh will only take what liquid it needs to fully saturate the...
Does the wick in the new HH .357 and hybrid atomizers get the liquid from the stainless steel mesh? I was thinking about combining a hybrid atomizer with a gummy tank. That way the mesh is always wet until your tank runs dry. Any ideas?
So the impurities are what makes for the lower temp threshold? Meaning that this stuff is more pure? I'm just curious if I should order quartz cloth or the regular silica sleeve.
Thanks scuba and bstedh!
Is that the same stuff used in atomizers?
Has anyone looked into quartz cloth? It is for extremely high temp situations like 2700°F continuous and above 3000 for short periods of time.
Edit: a link to quartz cloth.

I boiled the wick 3 times to remove machining oil. Then I heated the wick red hot, dipped it in water and dried it three times. It was kind of a burnt metal flavor. Should I boil the wick after I oxidize as well? Are you saying you heat the wick and dip it in VG to oxidize it? Do you also...
The terminals are 1mm or less from the wick. I have two small holes drilled which was too airy of a draw so I covered one and placed the hole in the center of the wick. I use KBV e liquid. The throat hit is almost metallic. Is that from dry wick? I used a .078" drill bit which is about 2mm for...
Ok so I made a genesis. I set it up with 32 gauge kanthal and 400 mesh. It is a stainless center piece with a polycarb tube. I need to find a good camera to take a picture. My cellphone pics just come out fuzzy. I have the wick oxidized, and I have about 2.3 ohms in 4 wraps. When I hit it I get...
Well I made two. The first one I made was the first thing I have ever made on a metal lathe. I made it from aluminum, used it once and started making one out of 304 stainless. I finished it today but I can't seem to get it to vape properly. It's not too harsh but it has a semi metallic taste. I...
I like my provari but I recently built a .44 boost circuit. Designed by Breaktru, it works as good if not better. I ordered the ptn04050C as a sample. I actually ordered three of them. They showed up in 6 business days and I bought all the other things I need from rat shack. Next time I will go...
I was using it off and on today, it is a really intense vape. Definately not an all day vape. I am using it with two trust fire 16340s on a HV atty or one IMR 18650 on a LR. I know IMRs don't have a pcb but they are safe chemistry. It is really nice with an LR. I could vape that regularly but it...
Yeah I don't think I could do it regularly but It has a massive flavor and vapor. The atty I was using I checked to be 3.7 which is better than 3.5 but a 4-4.5 Ohm I think would be bareable as a regular vape.
The top piece just pops off sideways. Not really a pocket friendly mod. If I pick up a piece of clear tube and a spring this might be a more pocketable mod.
I just made what I will call the Flash Right.
I found a aluminum 3xAAA flash light in a drawer. The top cap from the buzz fits...
I got bored today and wanted to make something. I also realized that my provari nor my buzz will hit the voltage I want with a 3.5 Ohm atomizer. So I took the top cap from my buzz and a coat hanger. I wound the coat hanger in a spring shape to hold 2 16340s. They sit in the spring positive down...
I found this tonight and it seems to fit the bill.
This is the high efficiency chip(don't know how much more efficient yet)

Hey these look like the springs scubabat uses for his connectors. They are made of 18-8 Stainless

I am actually talking to the guy from mini lathe reviews. He says out of the box the taig is more accurate but the 7x12 is a good machine too. The 7x12 I think is more versital but I am not sure what to get.
Has anyone heard anything about the harbor freight 7x12 lathe?
7" x 12" Mini Metal Lathe
Right now with the 20% of discount it is 480$ instead of 600$. I think that is a pretty good price.
They also have a 7x10(which is more realistically a 7x8) for 500$ which right now is 400$.
Any opinions...
