There is a fundamental general trade off between battery current capacity and energy capacity. A higher mAH battery will be more fragile to higher current use whereas a lower mAH battery will be much more robust at higher current. A low capacity cell will have less plate surface area and be...
I could go through 10 to 20ml depending on the day. I also only use 2mg of nicotine. Back when I did more MTL vaping I used 6 to 9mg. That level in my current tanks would make my head spin.
The Merlin is good for that, but looks really odd being so tall on a Target Mini mod. lol That mod’s stock tank converts to a true MTL tank with a restricted chimney insert and small bore coil. I just remembered about that. From what I see the Serpent SMM version looks to be a nice upgrade from...
Typically the current measurement on a mod would be what’s supplied to the coils. The current draw on the batteries would be a tad higher since the power converter will dissipate a small amount of power. For instance my VBoy is said to be 95% efficient, so the current draw on the batteries would...
So you prefer the MTL tanks. Different category from these dual coil DTL beasts. The only one I have that’s kinda MTL single coil is the original Augvape Merlin which is a pretty good flavor tank. It’s hard to beat a dual coil tank for best flavor though, but they aren’t for MTL vaping. Actually...
Ah, you must have the first version Kylin with the leaky insulator. I have the second version which I didn’t realize they made another version. No 510 leak. I did have some leaking though early on because it wants a big wad of cotton shoved in the juice holes.
Yeah, I browse RTAs and still...
My best RTAs for flavor and performance are the Wotofo Troll, Augvape Boreas V2, and Vandy Vape Kylin in stubby mode. The other thing I like about them is the short efficient design.
Appearance: They are handsome, but not flashy or colorful. Every time I see a flashy looking RTA I like and then...
Well I settled on single core 26-32 clapton wire as working best for my Boreas and Troll at 0.21 ohm in TC mode. I really can’t refine that delta point down more than that. It totally blows away the twisted coils I’ve made forever. While listening to a murder mystery I spun off about 4 feet to...
Thanks. Those coils were a bit much on power and battery draining so I wound some smaller ones that came out much better. You have to use a drill to wind the wire together. The tedious part is holding the tension and wire angle just right.
Nice! You won’t need any other charger for a very long time. :) On the test modes. The normal test fully charges the battery and then discharges it measuring the actual capacity. The fast test discharges the battery and then charges it while doing an estimate of the capacity.
If I wanted to go to a smaller setup, I’d look at a Vaporesso Armour Pro and Wotofo Serpent Mini RTA. For your power level a short single coil RTA is best. The ArmourPro does have a changeable battery, but you can get a 3000mAH cell and the mod will charge it I think it would be a great...
It could very well be a faulty connection with the atomizer. I’ve had similar experiences before. The symptom is a big heat spike. Make sure everything is clean and tight.
These are the typical size grub screws used in most RTAs. I use them to replace screws that are slotted or philips head since these hex heads are easy to tighten and won’t strip. These are longer than the usual with the idea that more threads engaged means that they tighten better and won’t wear...
Temperature coefficients with the Vaporesso Polar mod. Currently I don’t have any RTAs set up with NiFe, Ni, or Ti so this will dwell on SS 316L coils. Out of the box the SS coefficient is set far too high at 110 (0.00110). I’m not sure why they set it that high other than possibly to work with...
If you wonder why your Polar mod clock loses time so much, it’s because the clock stops when you remove the batteries and resumes when you insert the batteries. I noticed how the time lagged when I swapped batteries and so I removed them for a few more minutes and noticed the clock lagged a few...
