Fed up with my Kayfun Lite Plus
This is why I gave my only KFL+ clone away. I have non of these issues with my 3.1s Which are silent and almost never gurgle. My genuine Russian does pretty good too but is much more picky about the wick build and whistles a little on the intake.- PONKAW

Fed up with my Kayfun Lite Plus
You may need to try less cotton. The cotton can really expand and effect the vacuum channels. Try a silica wick and see if you have the same results.- PONKAW

Tobeco Kayfun Mini
The only way I could get it not to leak was to ditch the plastic tank and use a normal (5 wrap 32g kanthal) silica build... works pretty good now but wish the plastic tank had a slightly wider diameter so it wouldn't cause dry hits or screw up the vacuum and leak all over the place. I looked at those and thought about trying the mini since it doesn't look like it has the older "split" case... but pretty soon, I think it will probably become a crapshoot for the H labeled mods getting through customs... Good suggestions (great picture) As said above but after i trim the cotton...just above the chimney base...go ahead and and saturate the cotton. It will allow you to manipulate the cotton better (I use needle nose tweezers) also try more of a horizontal (to the posts)coil. Before the wick is...- PONKAW

I don't think these were inherently designed to use super low ohm coils on. That's what a mech and a 30 amp batt is for. It seems like alot of people waiting for this budget clone would be better off grabbing one of the 26650 beasts that are popping up everywhere. >0.5 ohm generates a ton of... -

For me the Assembly line photos are distressing. As a solder tech lets say I almost wish they hadn't put them up. only one of the workers has an ESD (static discharge) strap...and it's not even plugged in...and...they are working on cardboard. I guess I pictured a more professional manufacturing... -
New kayfun, new problems.
Do you have any silica to replace the cotton with? I had some cotton at one point that irritated my throat. The whistling on some clones is terrible... if you bevel the out side of the intake hole it helps a little. To me it looks like you are using too much wick... but its hard to tell with...- PONKAW

I think what the OP is talking about is the older 510 ciga-likes (most were like 300mah). Some of the newer inokin products may suit your needs like the itaste vv (I would keep two to rotate) as far as moving up from standard cartos... these little bottom coil clearos work pretty darn good...- PONKAW
