LDO Voltage Regulator - Anybody Interested

I'm interested if the price is right, I've actually got a supplier for 5v buck/boost regs but they can only handle 700mA at 3.7v and are about $10 per my cost. Let me know how much you can put yours together for, I might buy a handful.

    ATTN: DFW Vapers

Hey guys, I figured this was the best place to put this as I'm not a supplier and don't have a retail front. I just got a big shipment of 901 atomizers in for the mods that I'm selling, but I'd be more than happy to suppy the local guys and help you save some cash on shipping. I've got black...

    Health warning from Murray Laugesen

E-liquid is probably the least dangerous thing on my desk right now, and I think this report is way off. We already know that absorption levels are far lower than that of cigarettes, and we know that PG slows the absorption substantially - I coat my fingers in E-liquid and it has absolutely...

    Actual 801/901 Connectors

I've got just under 30 right now, ordered a small quantity at first, if there is enough demand I could get ahold of more, they'd be about $3 per.

    1) If your solder connections are heating up to the point of vaporization/inhalation, you're doing something very wrong. 2)Lead-free solder (which is what most of us use) would have no ill effects if inhaled, in fact that "smoke" you see from your soldering iron is flux built into the solder 3)...

****, your drawing is way better than mine, although I prefer my idea as it seems like it would be easier to clean.

Wow theres alot of interest in this, outstanding. Does anyone know of a free webcam conference program? The step-by-step pictorals are easy enough but I'm sure some people would like something a bit more interactive.

I might consider teaching a class on a quick USB passthru, I'll just need to grab a webcam.

    801 Connector

I can't speak on the 801 connector, but I've found on 901s with the dc jack connector I need to dremel down the threads a bit to get some of my atomizers to work, logic says the same thing should work on the 801. Worst case scenario, you got to dremel something, and thats always worth it.

A buck/boost voltage regulator will keep a constant voltage until the vin is too low to do it, and then it will just stop working. It is *very* important to note that you must use protected batteries with a voltage regulator like this, as you'll have no warning that the voltage is getting too...

    510 "Passthrough" Problems

Elfond - I've noticed different atomizers have different positive connection depths, on some of my 901's I barely need to screw them in at all, on others I have to give it an extra hard twist or I get no connection, so it very well could be a problem with the atomizer. Cisco - You're correct...

    801 @ 5volts should be pretty good?

I run my 901 off of 5v (straight USB connection) and they work great, just make sure you keep your coil wet and don't let it get too hot.

Grape 0 Nicotine. I Can't Find Any! Help?

Just get some lorann grape flavoring and USP grade PG from a feed store. I found lorann flavoring here locally at a gourmet food store (Ashers), I've heard that michaels/hobby lobby has them as well. You're in Oklahoma, theres a feed store on every corner, so the PG shouldn't be an issue.

    Arlington, TX E-smokers

So, I'm an idiot and waited too long to order some new e-liquid. I spent the better part of yesterday trying to find someone who would let me pick it up to no avail, I even drove over to Janty USA to find an IT company/ad agency at their warranty return address. If anyone in Arlington or the...

    510 "Passthrough" Problems

I'm going to agree with Cisco on this, although I find the 6.3v from USB a bit odd. USB 1.1/2.0 is capped at 5v/100mA unless a higher amperage is requested from the bus, in which case it increases to a maximum of 500mA. Wall-wart USB plugs and car chargers can differ from this, but a computer...

    Another possible heat source

Why 2.5v? Seems aiming for 5v would be a better solution - instant USB compatability and its not hard to drop 2x rcr123a's to 5v with a regulator. Edit: Also, most switching voltage regulators (the ones that operate at 85%+ efficiency) are either 3.3, 5, or 5.5v.
