Want to upgrade my Evod Kangertech...What should I look for?

I stepped from an EVOD starter setup to a vamo, sid, svd, vtr, and PT2's, nautilus, and davide's. Then moved to a sigelei 20 watt and Kayfuns. Currently that's what works best for me. I also use a VTR modified to accept my Kayfuns for out and about. Here's a link to a great sale on the 20 watt if...

Where'd you buy your kayfun clone

I second that for sure. I was rebuilding PT2 heads for a few months. Thought they were great. I ordered an EHpro KFL+ V2 and before I even finished the first tank, I ordered a second one. I was out on the boat this past weekend and took my trusty VTR with a PT2 on it. I was so bummed all day...

    I cannot build anything

Just saw some nasty info about the iPV. Bad enough that jjvapes issues a voluntary recall of all units sold. PBusardo showed some pretty big flaws in that device also. Hopefully your unit doesn't have any issues.

Kayfun Quartz nano kit doesnt fit???

Which top cap style did you have? The one with a single groove for the chimney o ring? Or the one with o ring fit in a channel on the top cap?

    I cannot build anything

Those are some pics of the first coil I did on my Kayfun clone. It is 30awg Kanthal, 5/64 id, 7 wraps, wicked with peaches and cream cotton yarn. Comes out to 1.8 ohm. Worked amazing. Dont sweat it if your first few tries aren't perfect. It will take you some practice. I just thought I'd share...

VTR Ring Removal for function over look

This is a v1 with the rotating ring. I really wish I could have saved my ring, but there just wasn't enough material. I know I looked all around before I did it, and not alot available tutorial wise for this modification. I hope it helps people out in the future. Better yet, with the...

Kayfun Quartz nano kit doesnt fit???

I can't help you, but after reading many posts here and elsewhere about the Ehpro V2 having issues with aftermarket replacement parts I chose to just stick with what came in the box. Kinda sucks cause I have some awesome cinnamon roll juice I know will crack my tank, and haven't had it long...

VTR Ring Removal for function over look

Here are some pictures of my process of removing the top ring on my VTR. Tools used was a Dremel with flex shaft extension, orange stone bit, course sanding drum, course cutting disk, electrical tape. I started off trying to keep the ring, but open it up enough to accept a Kayfun (Ehpro Kayfun...

    What a hassle!

Perhaps this link could help you. I compiled alot of information in one place when I was starting out. It can be very frustrating and confusing at first, but before you know it all the terms and what not become old hat. Biggest thing I found when starting was there is so much information and so...

Bit and speed to dremel a VTR

Thanks. It's actually an Xbox 360.

Bit and speed to dremel a VTR

Curious if a pink grinding stone would be sufficient for grinding down the top ring on a VTR? Also would it best to run the dremel fast say 5 or slower say 2? I don't want to cut the entire ring off, but rather shave the inner diameter to accept a Kayfun topper. Never used a dremel to work with...

    Need recommendations for cheap setup

I too went to the mech based on the price range he was quoted and the competition aspect. I can't speak to the MVP, as I don't have one. I've been against anything I can't replace a battery in since day one. I personally enjoy a kayfun clone and a sigelei 20 watt at the moment. I can fill a room...

    Information on the Vamo V5

I also have an SVD. That in comparison, again same basic price point, is a great device. I've dropped that one, gotten it wet, knocked it over a 100 times and it still does it's job same as the day I bought 6 months ago.

    Information on the Vamo V5

For around the same price point there are a couple great sales going for the Sigelei 20 watt. That's assuming the normal $50'ish price. But the link I posted also has the V5 on sale as a kit right now for a great price for what it is.

    Need recommendations for cheap setup

No prob... And all of that is needed before sifting through juices suitable for cloud chasing. High VG content and flavors you like, or at least can stand, at relatively high temps.

    Information on the Vamo V5

It's just cause the finish is different. It's a thicker steal than the other bodies. I have a V5 Stailess. And I can tell you first hand three important factors with the device... 1) Don't drop it. Mine fell less then a foot onto a hard wood floor and the bottom cap threads bent and very hard...

    Need recommendations for cheap setup

Around $150 seems right to me. And that is for clones of high end gear. Not going to tough authentic high end stuff for that. Heck, a good mech will burn that price point. I second what Wickedgt said, but add to that a list a good OHM checker ($25'ish). Firing a mech without knowing EXACTLY...

Rebuilt protank heads keep gurgling and flooding

I rebuild with 30awg kanthal, 3/32 id contact coil, and a single piece of peaches and cream cotton yarn. No flavor wick. I also use areo bases on my PT2's. My coils come in it 1.8 +/- .1/.2 usually with 9-10 wraps. I rarely have any gurgling or full on flooding. Given the nature of the design...

    I cannot build anything

Another thing I found very very helpful was I keep a little journal. I write down my gauge wire, my wrap count, my diameter, target resistance, actual resistance, and my wick material. Then I go back after 1 tank and write a note about the experience such as very warm, coil gunked up fast, took...
