    The Hangsen Thread

Hey D Doug, if your way of mixing is 'wrong', then I've been wrong almost 5 years. :P Only diff is I use a dripper to mix. I enjoy getting to know flavors solo and the decided lack of commitment to multiple bottles of experiments I know straight way are not gonna steep to greatness. ;)

INW has a prune flavor. Never tried it. Smoke & prunes was popular a year or so ago in that thread. Am4A has a dried fruit component to my pallet. Good luck!

Tobacco Absolute - A Flavor All By Itself.

Absolutely loving the samara still. Rather ruined me for tab flavorings I'm afraid but that is just fine since I'm so darned picky. Liberating about 50 bottles of meh feels good. Only drawback was the sweetness but I tried bitter wizard and it is just perfect. A scant drop in 10ml for a first...

Bitter wizard was just what I needed to tone down the Rustica sweetness. And it did so without altering the qualities I like in this absolute. Yay!

Tried the Arabic 11 days in and the maple perception has diminished significany. Still not my Cuppa. Back into the drawer. The INW latakia is not my holy grail. Its not woody or herbal enough and I can't see steeping making a huge difference. It will get a month to show its worth. Just meh...

I'm really bad. Sometimes once a month, sometimes every other. Thicker wire just never pops. I rewick as needed dependent on juice. I will say that every time I recoil, I chastise myself as the vape is so much better on a new coil.

The few nets I tried(HoL) were rather sweet. Due to the natural plant sugars I think. Dratted holiday. My latakia sits waiting to be delivered. Praying for the holy grail. ;)

:D Yes taste is quite individual. Mixed @ 3% btw. Usually where I start with HS and usually my sweet spot. I think my pallet's sweet receptors are on overdrive. ;) Edit to add: base with 1.5% VW, 3% Arabic = sweet perception greatly reduced however the maple perception is still too strong...

Remixed Rustica with VW @ 1 drop/10ml. Rustica is brighter and cloying sweetness still reduced. Thinking of further dilution of VW. Want brighter without sweet. Thinking bitter wizard needs to go into the cart. Just using what is at hand.

I did try it on your recommendation. It had a strong maple sweetness I did not care for. Since I've rediscovered VW, maybe I will try a small sample again.

No worries Jeremy. It's interesting how things change as our senses of taste & smell heal. I can tell you what my neighbors are cooking 15 acres over and downwind, where I could not smell a thing a few years ago. I can smell a flavor and know with about 99% accuracy if it has one of the notes I...

My Rustica mix was getting cloyingly sweet so off to the vape drawer. Found the vape wizard and added 2 drops to 10ml. To my surprise it brought the sweetness down. It also lowered the bright notes I enjoy a bit more than I would have liked. Next time one drop. ;)

I use 1-3% where most others are using 5-9%. The highest I go is 6% of a 10% dilution of Rustica as a stand alone. I think my taste just continues to awaken. At almost 5 years vaping now. Most tabs are just too sweet for me anymore. For example HS Indian at 3% is now sickly sweet. At 1% the...

From their site you linked.."Enjoyable mellow and nutty notes of tobacco with none of the combusted taste of a normal cigarette." Woody and herbal are right up my alley, but nuttiness of any type puts me straight off. I taste it in many flavors where others do not detect it. If it is in a...

Thanks Dixie. The description was fine until I read nuts. Not a fan. I do have some issue with PG, 15% is about my max. I love the Samara btw. Ruined in a good way.

Need help tobacco fans. Seems my taste has changed again as well as my stupid sensitivities. The few flavors I liked are now too sweet or causing reactions. "Vaping journey" is spot on as mine is ever evolving. Samara TA might have ruined me as well. ;) Bitter wizard: does it mute flavoring...

    Peppery TH in DIY Juice

You could be sensitive to certain flavorings as well. You might want to start documenting flavors that cause coughing once you rule out the nic. Been there.:(

    Nic concentrate smell?

I recently tried a new nic vendor and the odor off 100mg VG was rather pungent chemical. However upon mixing down to 12mg it is fine. Mixing a small batch before contacting the vendor is what I would do. FYI, same vendor.
