I like spaced coils too ni200 when you wrap them contact (and NOT glow and squeezed) the cotton will open gaps to create spaces. I just got my Prometey3 a few days ago and it has jumped to top atomizer for me... the added .5mm of air flow for this single coil RTA to 2mm) makes so much... -
What's the verdict on Temperature Control?
I have been using mostly single coil atomizers (RTA) with not a lot of air flow... I got in a new Prometey3 with better air flow than the P2 2mm vs. i.e. 1.5mm and wow, much better vape with good flavor too, and when i put it on a dna40, ni200 wire, my usual 450 degrees was too hot. I have it... -

Atlantis: I.E... 3.7 power source with a .5 ohms coil will create over 25watts (more or less considering v drop)... and that's 7amps right there. The Atlantis is just one atomiser. nickle is a bit more difficult if you are not used to making your own coils, but really, imo most of the "horror" stories (exaggeration) were the confusion between having a bad chip and trying to get a ni200 coil going for the first time, and not so much inherent in nickle wire. -

I agree that you can get the max use out of a 30w mod... anything over is cloud chasing; dual coil atomizers. THey are fun, but you can do that with a mech easy... and imo you get more flavor out of atomizers with less than all that wattage. I end up using most of my high watt boxes around 15 to...- ukeman

At first run, I did read that it was not recommended. But many of the first adopters and more do a little glow in low voltage mode mostly to help with contact coils (squeeze), and maybe to oxidize too. I don't know if any are dry burning using same process to get gunk off. -

only if it goes below the limit for TP... like .08 or so then it will not come up to heat and show a message in the LED. Given that there is no contact or connector issues, which I have not had. -

I am an experienced kanthal and nichrome coil builder... micro, spaced, but NONE of the twisted, fancy stuff, just straight up coils of most gauges. That said, Ni200 is different, but not necessarily difficult. 28g is thicker and a bit easier, but I get more consistent vaping with 30g ... ymmv... -

Need help for coil build.. warmish cooler vapor and flavor?
I'd recommend a 1 to 2 Ohm coil with 30g wire. DNA30 will give you all you need to perfect your vape (dial in sweet spot). Wrap the wire on a 2 to 2.5mm bit or whatever, about 9 to 10 wraps, closely spaced. Whether you compress to make contact coil or not, a cotton wick, at about 1.6 ohms, and...- ukeman

Yeah you build the coil between the posts over the air hole. Its about $150 shipped, Only leaks if you over fill, through the air hole. This is for flavor of an RTA but ease of use... yes, i had some Handlebar and I put it aside... and since you mentioned I tried it again. This stuff grows on you. Very good fruit vape! Some say it tastes like a Margarita, all i know is it has a unique and delicious slant on fruit and am sorry the 15ml will be gone soon. Thanks for the tip. -

I mentioned that although I love the Prometey2, the air could be wider. And the P3 took care of that. edit: oh yeah, and more than that the filler type of feeding doesn't go over well much lower than about .7 or .8 ohms imo. -

Interesting OP and spot on... I see where you are headed. The Atlantis is going to have a bigger tank as you probably know, but you are correct to think that an RTA is going to be even better in flavor dept. You want bigger air than what some single coil RTA's have too. I'm in the same boat... -

Yes, actually I didn't know what i was doing when i had one of Robs... not too many b/f atomizers avail. a few years ago. I much preferred when he put out the sub ohm contacts. Actually Turbocad6 did a number of mods with the Reo adding DNA chip module at the bottom... he may be selling some...
