Passing my old kit on: compatibility questions and replacement PCC cord

Like most new vapers, when I started, I wanted something as much like a cigarette as possible, bought a couple of mini kits, and then moved on to bigger and more satisfying gear. I've been giving my old stuff to friends who are making quitting-smoking noises. My MV Sidesho stuff has been the...

Madvapes juices any good? Where else to order juice

Mad Vapes Cherry Blossom has been my main juice for over a year -- long enough that my nicotine addiction "attached" to it, and when I started vaping other flavors I'd get that old "wrong brand of cigarette" craving: "Yes, yes, that's very nice. Can we have a real vape now, please?" (It only...

I Need help! Houston TX location for a 18650 charger

Pearland is pretty far from central Houston, and up to 2 hours from Houston-near-the-airport. Also, it recently exploded.

I Need help! Houston TX location for a 18650 charger

Curses, can't PM you. Since you're awake, and depending on what part of town you're in and how desperate your situation is (about to spark an analog, for example), I'd be willing to meet up with you at a diner and let you get at least a partial charge off my charger. I'll be up for another...

I Need help! Houston TX location for a 18650 charger

HOUTX vaper here. I'd try EPO (Electronic Parts Outlet): Electronic Parts Outlet -- they're open tomorrow 9a-5p. They're a small store, so packed it's basically claustrophobic, but they have an amazing variety of sheer STUFF. I haven't ever asked for one there before, but I'd give them at...

Spring sprang away -- where can I find a replacement?

Ahhh, okay. I'll wait for the official replacement, then. I doubt the spring out of my ballpoint would have the right conductivity/resistance. *sigh* Another couple of days with my eGo. Poor thing's been so neglected since I got my GG!

Spring sprang away -- where can I find a replacement?

So another spring-related question: is the spring just there for mechanical force? I mean, is keeping the button up and providing a little resistance all it does, or is it part of the circuit? I'm SO tempted to just stuff a spring from a ball-point pen (or whatever will fit) in there to get me...

Spring sprang away -- where can I find a replacement?

I'm not sure, to be honest. I bought my SS GGTS near the end of September, the minute CoV got some in stock. How new are the new-style buttons?

Spring sprang away -- where can I find a replacement?

It's just the button; that's part of what makes it kind of scary. The button itself comes out of the assembly, leaving the tube and the contact post and locking ring behind. There's then nothing to keep the spring in place, so it falls out and gets lost easily, and the contact post falls inward...

Spring sprang away -- where can I find a replacement?

About 6 weeks ago, my SS GGTS button started unscrewing itself. Finally, yesterday, I lost the spring, after keeping or finding it a dozen times. CoV is out of the Type 2 springs and I can't find the magnetic button mod (which I really want). Will the Type 1 spring work? When will there be more...

    I'm doing it wrong

Seconded! Even before I got the UFS, the whole process of buying batteries and a charger for several configuration to try things out would have been daunting without this community. After I'd had it about a week, I cranked the collection tank cap too tight and cut through the o-ring. No problem...

    Pictures of your setup

It's new, so I gotta crow: SS GGTS with the new UFS, a SS dual-coil atty, and SS drip tip.

So this started innocent enough... ;)

Dehydration and too much nicotine are likely culprits for that headache. As you transition from the short, concentrated session mindset of cigarettes to the every now and then all day long rhythm of vaping, you'll start to lose track of how much you reach for your ecig, and it's easy to...

Nicotine VS No-nicotine - Big difference??

Joining the chorus to say that starting with nicotine is very important if you're hoping to quit smoking. Without nicotine, an e-cig is basically one step up from sucking on an empty ball-point pen barrel (which I tried!) in that it gives you something to inhale -- but without nicotine, even...

    I'm doing it wrong

So far, success! I took my hiatus as an opportunity to clean the whole UFS apparatus and get silicone grease on the threads -- I think it actually came with some (thanks, CoV!), but I washed that off cleaning it up. Got it reassembled and ready to go, tightened that top ring just a teensy bit...

    I'm doing it wrong

Thanks! I had a hunch the problem was something of the kind, but I was blaming the o-ring itself, not the very top collar that applies pressure to it. Didn't even think of that. I've been tightening everything down extra to prevent leaks, and thus causing the problem -- funny! I'll try the UFS...

So this started innocent enough... ;)

Allen, congrats on going analog-free so successfully, and introducing your family to vaping, too. You've only been vaping for a week? Not only are you doing fantastic things for yourself and your family, you've hit what I think of as the "conversion point" in record time! I've seen a dozen or...

    I'm doing it wrong

Read and replied. :) The information I'm getting from videos, PDFs, and so on seems to be for previous versions of the UFS. I didn't realize that I had a newer version. Looking it over, I can see why using a drip tip might seem to make the extension a moot point, in that the drip tip drops in...
