Just got mine in the mail while ago. My impressions: 1) Feels even more sturdy than my IPV D2 and the the finish is very nice. 2) The battery door doesn't move around at all (like my D2 sometimes does). 3) As everyone says, the menu screen scrolls a bit too fast. Can be annoying but nothing... -

You're comparing apples to apples, so of course 50 watts will result in a higher temp than 10 watts on the same coil. The only point I was making is 10 watts doesn't tell us much unless the know the exact characteristics of the coil. Also, 10 watts (depending on how long you fire it) is plenty...- BigEgo

Heat is not the same thing as temperature. You can put 50w to one coil and 10 watts to another and the 10 watt coil will have a higher temperature. ti coils on ipv d2
26 ga, 8 wraps, 2.5mm ID, comes out to about .32Ω. Cotton stuffed TIGHT between the coils. Using Subtank Mini. 430-450F. Best vape I've had in a while. Edit: And, no it doesn't feel to cool. I think the temp is pretty accurate on both Ni and Ti. OP, you sure you have it set to Ti mode? -

What is all the hype about temperature control?
I prefer TC over kanthal. I am a tank guy (STM specifically) and I got dry hits quite often no matter how well I wicked. I define a dry hit as any inhale where the wick is remotely dry (doesn't have to be burning the cotton). If the wick is not fully saturated, I consider that a "dry hit."...- BigEgo

Yeah as long as the reading is accurate. Problem with more sensitivity is there is more room for user error. A slight bump or turn of the atty will throw things way off. -

No. You will not need 30 amps to run this mod at 50 watts. This is a regulated mod, thus the resistance of the coil means absolutely nothing. All you need to know is the wattage you have it set to and the voltage of your battery charge. At most you will need 15 amps for 50J on a low battery. -

What happened to Provape?
You use like 80% PG liquid if I recall, right? The boiling point of PG is quite a bit lower than VG. If I were to set my mod to 380F, it produces almost no vapor, even at 50watts. I use a high VG juice, which probably explains this discrepancy. I have to have 420F at minimum to get any...- BigEgo

Man Severely Injured After eCigarette Blows Up In His Face
He was using a "skeleton key" mech mod with an Atlantis 2 on top. Don't know the build or the type of battery. I would assume he was running stock coils (~.3 ohm), so most likely he had a crappy battery in there or somehow had a short somewhere.- BigEgo

You have no idea what the temperature is without a regulated mod with temp sensing wire. The temp of a coil will vary pretty widely even during a single puff. Even pulsing a dry coil at 10W will take it well above 600F. It doesn't take long for these coils to get very hot. My main reason...- BigEgo
