Am I the only one who wonders why they state that they tested the "North America Flavour compendium"? Is it a different product line?.

Because the link provided was to the Home/Website of Flavour Arts North America.

They are in Italy. I have never used their page over there because i can't read Italian. :)

They also have a website for the UK and during the banner presentation, it has Enthalpy Labs tests results as well that you can click on.

I really can't read the italy one....

what's your pledge?
It's in my signature. It's been there since early July and it came about due to the shady business practices of a well known maker of expensive e-liquid. IIRC, you participated in some of those threads as well. :D

I'm now at the point where I'm running low on the flavor I vape the most. It's a store-bought raspberry lemonade, made by a local shop, that I cut 50/50 with unflavored. My choices are: Spend $70 + another 120ml bottle plus $100+ for testing, or try to make an acceptable substitute using FA flavors, since test results are available for them now. It seems I can buy a boatload of FA flavors for $170.

Yes, I realize that it's unlikely that a raspberry lemonade flavor has much in the way of diketones, but I made a commitment and I'm going to follow through on it.

sorry, Rossum, I have signatures "turned off" I guess in my profile.
My complete signature is:

Bottom-feeding modwomper who likes rayon wicks, titanium coils, and e-liquid test results.
-----
My pledge as of July 4th, 2015: I will buy no flavored e-liquid or flavoring for liquid without seeing diketone test results for it, unless I'm willing to send it out to have it tested myself, in which case I will publish the results. We vapers can get this industry to clean up its act!

I usedto love Mountain Oaks Red Drop.....best rasberry lemon/limeade I"ve ever had, just like Sonic

But since I can't order ejuice on line anymore......
Bwah -- 30ml is the biggest bottle they offer. I suspect I'd like that 'cause I normally doctor that raspberry lemonade with a bit of AiV Mystic Mandalime, which has been discontinued. All the more reason for me to come up with a from-scratch DIY substitute.

Still, I might order a couple of bottles of Red Drop just get another benchmark. If you want some, let me know.

The corporate page and the online-shop-page are both provided in English too.
All I can find is this (old) sentence:
we have carried out massive removal of diacetyl from our flavor collection since November 2010 and product still containing it are clearly identified.
Supporto e Informazioni :: Che cosa è il Diacetile? - Supporto e Informazioni Risultati della Ricerca - FlavourArt - La sartoria degli aromi

I understand that this may be of secondary importance for US consumers. I just wonder if they make two separate product lines ... because in any other case it would be in their own interest to provide their test results on every national page too. The UK page does place the relevant link to the Enthalpy test declaration. I'm just wondering ...

@Rossum OSDIY makes a great pink lemonade flavoring. Very authentic flavor. I mixed up some a week ago with some TFA Raspberry and it came out pretty good. Still need to tweak it, but it has a great flavor. If you get that lemonade flavoring, be sure to shake the bottle before each use. It separates in the bottle. And it's a tank-cracker. I think it has actual lemon juice in it. It's got a helluva throat hit. I would start with 5% on it. It's pretty strong.

The Custard I have and bought recently is apparently some of their old Diacetyl infested juice. Their test results only lists Custard Cream. Not just Custard.

Flavor Art has never had diacetyl in their regular line - only in their kitchen line. Their custard has always been clean.

Why is the FA flavroing I bought from BCV or ecigexpress, I forget which. in original bottle not in the test list then?
Just says Custard.
Lot#2015/3069
And of course FA logo and such.

The one on the left is Custard Cream, the one on the right is just Custard. The left hand bottle label is fuzzy, it had leaked some in shipping and messed up the label.
So are they repackaging? Different products? or what?
Both have Lot/Batch numbers.

The custard/custard cream thing is strange, but I do think that @AmandaD is correct in the name change.

I too thought that they were two distinct entities, thinking Custard Cream was a flavour to emulate the taste of a biscuit (cookie) we have in the UK called 'Custard Creams', but I just read a review on a UK vendor site and the reviewer was complaining that it did not taste like the biscuits, but like a "lemon cream" instead, which I gather is what the Italian Custard is meant to taste like.

On the Italian FA website there is no Custard Cream listed, just the Custard. It doesn't really make any sense, but it seems that Custard Cream is the name for the Custard flavouring for everywhere apart from Italy itself.

I just ordered direct from FA Italy, so I will hopefully see soon what the label on the custard says.

@Robert Cromwell do they taste the same?

Don't know on the taste. Have not tried them out yet. Will do soon.

Btw the flat top bottles suck.

Ok the FA Custard/Custard Cream is the same thing please do not panic. ;) I will not order from either the Canadian site or the Italian site too much money to ship to me IMHO. I ordered all my FA flavorings 80+ from FlavourArt Concentrated Flavorings, Partners with FlavourArt they carry from 5ml - 250ml sizes, and I had no problems with my orders. YMMV :thumb:

I knew they were flammable but not at a modest 10 watts - that was the surprise. Most people go way above that - sometimes to 50 or 100 watts. Tremendous heat. .

Heat is not the same thing as temperature. You can put 50w to one coil and 10 watts to another and the 10 watt coil will have a higher temperature. It depends on the heat flux, heat capacity and other variables with the build. All things being equal, 50 watts will result in a higher temp (or at least get to temp faster) than 10 watts, but not all coils are equal. My point is that saying you're firing it at 10 watts tells us nothing about the temperature of the coil. 10 watts is enough power to send the coil temp through the roof (depending on the coil). Still, though, a wet coil should not be catching fire as the coil wont go much above the boiling point while wet. So, there's something wrong with your liquid somewhere (or perhaps something wrong with your coil or mod).
