    Do we know how much the replacement ceramic coils are going to cost? I stopped buying factory coils because of the short lifespan of the cotton wicks. I would think that since these have no cotton, they would last a LONG time. Any thoughts on this?

    I had the same problem initially. I think the clearances are so tight you just need to have the cap perfectly square when putting it on or pulling it off. I also keep my orings damp. Now, my cap comes on and off perfectly. I found that at certain apertures the airflow was noisier than at others.

    Dinger is correct. The SSOCC come in nichrome, nickel and Clapton kanthal. He is also correct when he says that the SS stands for the stainless steel in the outer casing, not the wire type. I believe that the OCC and VOCC were nichrome, but I am not positive.
