Alerts do not always show up

There are many threads that I watch. Sometimes I do not get the alerts for them when someone has responded in the thread. Please take a look at the pictures below. I did not receive an alert from the post below, or any of the ones following it. This has happened before, and unwatching and then watching the thread seems to fix it for a short time.

For threads, you'll receive one, and only one alert for the thread regardless of the number of responses. This will not reset until you look at the thread itself, and then the first response will trigger another alert.

So possibly I never opened a thread, when I received the first alert? That is a great thought, and I bet that is what happened.

Is there some place to view watched threads with unread posts?

Never mind. I found the Watched Threads button towards the top.
