Recommendations for an old school vaper

I think people forget what a good vape the Kayfun 4 gave. I just wish it wasn’t such a PITA to clean and maintain. The Prime is excellent though, it took me back to the Kayfun Lite glory days :)

Recommendations for an old school vaper

Hi all, I’ve been out of the rebuildable game for a while now, and am getting back into it after getting a Kayfun Prime. I’m looking around, and all I see are cloud chasing atomizers... which I do dabble in when I find aesthetics I like (recently got an Entheon) but my day to day vape is...

Discussion thread for the ProVari™ V2.5 - Special Limited Edition Titanium

The bottom cap, and a thin sliver right below the beauty ring matches my Kayfun v2 well enough to keep that 2-tone look I really like.

Glad to hear! Maybe the scratchy button is in my head after reading that one post. I guess time will tell best!

Discussion thread for the ProVari™ V2.5 - Special Limited Edition Titanium

If it becomes a problem with all of them, I'm sure Provape will fix it. I got mine yesterday, and while I haven't used it enough to say for sure, the button isn't as smooth as on the stainless (it's a little scratchy actually) but titanium is normally a bit more finicky than stainless either...

    Chips vs Mechs... fight!

There's one big reason I'll always choose a mechanical over a variable... if a variable starts performing poorly, or something goes wrong, it's either shot, or you have to pay for repairs through the manufacturer. Let's hope they'll always be available to fix them. On the other hand, with a...

    huge heat difference? just me?

You're right, that was my mistake. It's been a couple years since I took some calculus classes.

    huge heat difference? just me?

This easy, and is pure mathematics: P = V^2/R, where P is watts, V is voltage, and R is resistance. This is an exponential formula, and here's what happens when it's graphed in Excel (with V set at 3.7): As you can see, as R gets closer and closer to zero, P spikes up at an ever increasing...

    Vaping while pumping gas???

The coil would have to be hot enough to ignite the fumes in the air, and there would have to be enough fumes in the air to be ignited by the coil. In other words, I find it very unlikely normal vaping would ignite anything at the gas station. At the same time, I wouldn't classify it as the most...

Has anyone found that vaping has stained their teeth?

I haven't really noticed any staining on my teeth besides the usual coffee stains, but I sure hope the color of the e-liquid isn't what stains your teeth - 'cause I've been vaping Pluid for the past few months!

    Firing button on the bottom

I came from eGo's too, and bottom buttons seemed awkward to me as well. Now they're my preferred switch, and in my opinion it's the most comfortable button you can have. It's a bit trickier with a recessed button, but the plunger-style buttons like the Chi_You feel much more natural than any...

Mod Carry Case/Pouch - What are you using?

Find a setup you like and buy two of them... one for the museum and one for the war. Seriously though, while I try to take care of my mods, scratches and dents and dings (oh my) add personality and character to a mod. I wouldn't worry too much about them. If you do, there's always a place...

Definitely get the 30 amp batts for a quad coil setup. The 22mm is very nice (that's the version you have in the picture). I have a 23mm version on preorder, and a 23mm "Chi You Club" edition in the mail. As far as drippers go, it's one of the best ones I've tried. Gotta give props to Mojo for a...

    Gold plated mod

This. But you can do it with any mod, I saw a guy had his Chi gold plated. But be warned, any kind of plating doesn't really like sticking to stainless steel. It can be done, but the longevity will be in question. I'd recommend getting a brass mod and having it gold plated.

High-End Mechanicals Chat, Tips, and Pics

Nice setup! I'm vaping the 22mm version right now. As soon as I get some juice I actually like in 6mg, I'll try a quad coil (I even bought one of those Sony 30amps just for this dripper). But right now I'm happy with my 0.7 ohm dual coil.

    The Rose v2 Rebuildable Atomizer

Licorice flavors are notorious for that... I think it's the anise flavoring in particular. My local B&M sells a wonderful licorice flavor that, while it lacks the anise, it does play nice with plastic tanks. Also, MBV's Absinthe flavor is listed on their tank crackers list, but my Kayfun Lite's...

    Mods

If you want life span (something that will basically last a lifetime), I suggest sticking with a stainless steel mod. Brass is pretty and cool and a bit more interesting than stainless steel, but it's also much softer, so those 510 threads will wear out long before stainless 510 threads. On the...

    Desperate! Please help me!

The first week of "all vapor no smoke" was painful for me, and I still wanted to punch someone in the face all the time. For the first week, I couldn't tell the difference between "replacing" and "quitting". The difference after that week was that I still craved nicotine, but I no longer wanted...

Is it ok to chain vape?

I would vape zero nicotine juice... if I could get an IV with nicotine in it. Just kidding!... I would still vape nicotine. All you're really doing is perpetually drying out your lungs and throat. Which, when you really think about it, is quite healthy for your lungs.
