I think panic and/or anxiety attacks and depression are more common for people quitting smoking than we realize, because many won't identity the symptoms as such or make the connection. I think it may well the main reason it is so hard to quit. I started having issues within a few weeks myself...

My reaction is much the same as yours. I had to quickly reduce when I started to 8mg, and anything above that causes issues for me. Going from 8mg to 12mg may only be a 4mg difference, but it's a 50% increase in dosage from what you're used to. If the vendor doesn't have 8mg, see if they have...
