Micro coil genisis tilt? Haha i just had to ask/mention/comment and divert attention away from the main topic for a moment... it never occurred to me that he/she may be using a micro on a genesis.
Ive done that and on my aios run two 'micros' with no tilt but it is top fed. Ive had a few good...
Id like to hear more feedback about this question. Seems that with the coil being more tightly packed the resistance mesurements change, no?
Age of the coil can add a few decimal points to your coil, dry firing will fix that, sometimes i can tighten a bit more to and that helps lower it back...
I use cotton from q-tips
And 30 gauge
With volt meter first short out your leads and get your internal resistance. Keep it in mind
Then google the resistance for the kanthal (i need to do this too)
Measure out how long the wire will have to be to get a coil to read under 1ohm. Say .8 or .6
So...

Micro coils, or coils very close to this that are horizontal will be found in carto tanks. I took apart a carto, well it fell apart. The coil that was inside was 32gauge 10 wraps, so thin and tight. It had a 1mm silica through it sounded by the cotton/poly fill
brought some new life and flavor...
Converting the Spring into a brass knob inside a rubber shield was the product of about 4 or 5 hours last night, playing with coils, the bottom switch and seeing where my power loss / biggest loss was with this PV. Whatever I did I could only get her to fire when I was rotating the switch until...
Wire Under Brass pin.
Used a "binding" type wire used to keep a chicken fence on the poles. Cut with pliers, bent around brass.
Below is a picture of the size of the ring in comparison to the spring, and pin it will sit under.
This is the play before
And After
With the above done...
This is a log of my victories and failures with this pv.
First cleaning of the switch after having for a few months, was very dark, maybe machine oil.
After I figured out how to completely disassemble the switch I did some tinkering to replace the spring and get it to all fit nicely...
hey you guys, im on the west side to, in marysville. Look me up if you have a facebook and i can add you to a group we created to connect us on there, we are planning a meet up soonish facebook.com/eric.barcus
im getting to bed but it looks like 1 switch is the "fire button" another turns power on, then the other two are for changing between ohms and showing the volts... ill look back over it but it does seem like to many switches haha
have any of you guys tried putting a cotton wick inside the nextel wick? I am thinking this would help soak the nextel wick, or keep it more "Wet" perhaps someone could try and report back. I will order some of this stuff at the end of june so my tests are out till then
Thanks for the comments guys! I was watching the zen creator talk about his mods/tanks for a few hours last night and mentioned raidy a few times with no reply. Some people just dont respect the creators of original ideas and it makes it hard for me to want to support the "new guys" in their...
