One more thing to note... now that I am above 1.5Ohm i realized I can use my KICK again... I turned it up to 15watts and WOW... Now it is pretty much on par with the DC setup. We will see how the batteries hold up but I am really enjoying this now!

Yes, the flavor is much "cleaner". I still get popping but not quite as much as with round wire. What I immediately noticed is how quickly the coil heats up. You press the button and "bam!" the vapor is there already :) -M@

Indeed!!! Here is a picture comparing it to one of the shortest side button mods I know of in 18350 mode. (Name shall not be mentioned here) The difference in length is not noticeable with it in your hand. P.S. I can remove the picture if this is against the rules here.

Glad to hear there is anouther convert :) I too am taking much shorter draws and really love the flavor. 2x 1.6 ready wires from e-smokeguru seems to be the perfect setup. Ribbon is also in my todo list but to be honest the ready wires are vaping too good for me to try anything else.

My set up evolved to 2 parallel coils, 1.8Ohm each (0.9Ohm total) on 3mm Wolf Silica with only 3 strands of silica in the channels. Basic feeding is across both channels, liquid control is 2.5-3mm open... Its warm, moist and with great TH, even with 6mg 50/50 juice. -M@

Yes, i do this every day with my AW 18350's at 0.9ohm. Always have a spare or 2 with you. They drop below 3.6 pretty quickly and that is where I feel like its time for some fresh batteries. (50pg/50vg 6mg). Other than that they work fine. The AW 18490's seem to last almost twice as long.

No problem Imeo. I'm good now. I rebuilt it again today... it took me 3 attempts to get it right (#1 coil too loose *sigh* #2 wrong wick *sigh*) but now its great. I am running parallel coils now and its almost too much vapor at 4.2v :)

If by chance the Penelope 2.0 will support dual coils then more capacity is a must. I run though the tank on my Ithaka in about 8 hours now that I am using duals. :unsure:

I would say increase the liquid capacity. :p

I was careful not to wrap too tight. The channels where simply too restricted. Its vaping like a charm now. I had to close basic feeding to half a channel and lower the liquid control a few mm's to get rid of a light gurgling and now it is PERFECT! Thanks again!
