RIP Coolfire IV TC. Suggestions for a replacement please

I think the fire button was taken out by leaking fluid, so not a faulty mod. I might see if I can find a screwdriver to open it but they're odd ones.

RIP Coolfire IV TC. Suggestions for a replacement please

Not only that but as soon as the new mod arrived, the ADT50 started to malfunction. <gnaws nails>

RIP Coolfire IV TC. Suggestions for a replacement please

Thanks, people. I've put in an Amazon order for the Eleaf Pico 75W. My last FastTech order took a month to arrive (might have something to do with the current global situation) and I didn't want to wait that long with only one mod.

RIP Coolfire IV TC. Suggestions for a replacement please

My Innokin Coolfire IV TC has died and I'm now on my backup ADT50. I vape temperature-controlled, generally around 0.9 ohms and probably not much above 20 watts. (I can't bend my eyeballs around to read the tiny display while vaping, but I think it's around there.) I'm well out of the loop now...

In the past year, what's your worst buyers remorse?

I forgot that! I had 90ml of the stuff that I bought immediately before moving to sweet flavours. They eventually went down the sink. But 500ml must hurt.

In the past year, what's your worst buyers remorse?

My second Protank II. Before it even arrived I had moved on to rebuildables. I bought a genesis that I never managed to get any build on at all, but at least I had an absorbing few hours trying and a wicked photograph to show for it. DSCF0940-crop by Richard Urwin, on Flickr

    Beyond Lithium?

Interesting article about the search for new battery technologies: Materials database leads to battery technologies beyond lithium

Need advice with distilled water or any kind of thinner for all vg.

Personally when I've wanted to thin e-liquid, I've used tap water. I can't see any argument for using distilled water. I stand in the kitchen and boil a kettle, I boil vegetables and I reduce sauces . I even stand in a small room filled with water vapour every time I take a shower. All of which...

    Temperature control vs Wattage mode

Yes they will be, if the power is adjusted to give the same taste, assuming the tank never runs dry and assuming you make even draws throughout each puff. Temperature control helps in three ways: It gets up to temperature and stays there, so it can boost the power to warm the coil quicker. You...

    State of Play

A couple of times now it gets into a state where when you press the fire button the display changes to a single line full of HHHHHHHH (and more importantly, it doesn't fire). Swapping the battery fixed it the first time. The second time it was more persistent. I updated the firmware and it...

Joytech fans , not surprising at all actually .

What's against their Ts&Cs? All you are doing is screwing something onto the tank. I don't believe I said it did. I don't know precisely what the proposed fix to the 510 is, replacing a plastic part with metal? Longer spring-loaded pin? Either of those would be better a product and, for $200...

    State of Play

Thanks. Since I've got an SXMini and it would be rather unfair to expect the supplier to give me a refund three-quarters of the way through the warranty , I'll take a replacement of that. Dicodes are unavailable (you knew that of course) but very nice. And since I'll have my single battery mod...

There's a business oportunity there. Buy a few "repair washers" from the DIY shop for £0.20 each. Drill them out, thread them for 510 and sell them for £0.99 + P&P. That way it's a fit and forget fix. You just buy one for each atty.

    State of Play

I got an SXMini M-Class in May last year and I never looked back. It's a great device, so good that I never even think to carry a backup. It just works. Except now it isn't. It has developed a really odd problem and I'm going to have to send it back for a refund/replace. So now I'm thinking...

Help me pick a TC mod

I'd vote for the SX Mini M-class. It's all I take when I'm out and about, it's that reliable. A 3000mAh battery lasts me well over a day and it's not that big -- about the size of two 18650s side by side although it only uses one, and about an inch taller.

    DEVICE AS OHM READER

I would recommend an ohm meter for a newbie builder. Many mods do not test the resistance until you fire. That will put however many watts it is set for through your new coil with no liquid to cool it. As a newbie you've got enough to try to remember without having to think whether the power...

    cases

I've got the first and forth of these. Attys above and juice below. Very neat although not very deep. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0068HTBV8?refRID=W2HQG0YRMK2TEA55BXZH&ref_=pd_ys_sf_s_3146281_b1_64_p For out-and-about I use a zip-up eGo case with spare batteries, juice etc.

    Twisted wire...

In the simple view, the more strands you have, the more surface area you have and the more vapour you can put out. However... The more metal you have in the coil, the more power it requires to get it to temperature. A heavy coil needs more power to work; it doesn't work with low power. If you...

FDA If not regulation then what?

Here in the UK, a product has to be safe and fit for purpose before it is offered for sale. If it isn't then you can get it replaced or refunded. However, if you buy from Chinese websites then it is you who are responsible for ensuring that the device complies with all applicable regulations...
