Yeah I will surely try it eventually. Only thing holding me back right now is having a proper portable setup. I will probably end up using 18350 mode on my mods and go from there though I worry about leakage sometimes. My pockets are usually pretty full as it is.
The first time, I plan to go...
I took this route. Started out with mechanical mods - authentic ones considered the best as well as some high quality atomizers. It was a decent chunk of change but I am glad I skipped the budget stuff because this hardware provided me with an optimal experimentation period with e-cigarettes...
I typically brush right before getting into bed so no post-brush vaping for me. Even if I stay up real late for some reason after brushing, the toothpaste has a major impact on flavor. Unless it is something minty or citrus-y, I do not like the vape-toothpaste combination.
Thanks that is helpful. I rinse out my atomizer under the sink every time I change flavors. Use compressed air to blow out any water and then heat up the coils to burn up any leftover gunk. I have a feeling this will just be something I know when it happens.
I made the same mistake building my first setup - best results seem to be when there is just slight tension when pulling the wick through. It should be able to move somewhat smoothly, so if you are pulling threads trying to get the wick through the coil it is probably too tight.
What are some typical signs that the coils need replacement?
I imagine it is a combination of things such as: looks very dirty, vapor taste is off, not heating up properly. I am still on my first coils so curious if I am missing anything.
Great suggestions so far. Don't forget that there is a wealth of potential questions right here on ECF in the New Members Forum. Browsing the common questions that pop up there as well as some of the new member introductions should give you plenty of "study" material.
Good luck with the new job!
I have only used the organic cotton balls and from what I have seen watching atomizer builds, the Japanese pads look much easier to get wicks that are consistent in thickness and size. Otherwise, I think the biggest impact on taste (and preventing dry hits, burning etc) is going to be a product...
Wow I was not familiar with the Panzer but it really does look like a flashlight, the Sunwayman V10r to be exact.
On that note above, you should purchase the Sunwayman and make it a matching mod-torch pair  It is a great light to boot.
I typically pick up all of my hobby gear online. Wider selection and better prices. With something like flavors though, it would be nice to be able to try something first before purchasing. Even some of the best reviewed liquids I have tried tasted terrible to me.
I have noticed a lot of new...
Maybe because I still enjoy the occasional social analog since I quite a couple years ago - smoke does not bother me. I remember the nosy people making snide comments and judging when I was enjoying a puff on the street. I just took a nice, slow drag and tuned them out.
Now when I smell smoke...
A lot of the veterans here have chimed in with good advice. Keep safety first and foremost in your mind and I do not think you will have any issues starting off with a mechanical mod, especially given your occupation.
From a new guy's perspective, I was aware of e-cigarettes and this whole...
