Most .5ohm coils will say right on the coil 35w max. If your tank is working better on a different mod, then i'm not sure. It could be one is ramping up faster then the other. I know my koopor 200w tc has a setting on how hard you want your vape. I run mine using .25ohm coil running at 55w and...

Thats gonna be your problem i think. You are burning your coils. .5 ohm should never go above 35watts. If you want to go higher in wattage, put in your .25 coil. You might want to anyway because it will get rid of that taste. .25 ohm you should stay below 65 watts to keep it from burning.
