Give it a shot without it. I've never used a ProTank III, but used to use the I and II all the time without that piece. I removed that piece and it always improved the performance. No more dry hits!

I haven't tried this flavor from Nirvana, but about a year/year and a half ago Nirvana ran a great deal on 5 different samples for $10. I remember the juices being extremely good and very unique.
