I bought 2 of the pyrex to try and so far, I like them, with one exception: after about 10 days, the wick got a little too hot and I really need to clean the tank. Have any of you done this and if so, how? Thanks!

I forgot about SmokTek! Thanks. I should have also mentioned that what I want are Genuine Joye, not knockoffs. I have a couple Joye batts I got nearly 2 years ago which are still alive. On life support, but still alive. ;) The knockoffs have all had their "decent" burial.
