So my original layout didn't work. Not enough room for the chip.
So I just built a regular 3.7v job to hold me over until I can make it all fit the way I want.
Essentially A wetbox with a Reo style feed system and a 200g tact switch. Really happy with the finish on this one and even more...
I see what you're saying. I like to keep the switch though. Just some added insurance when the mod is in my pocket (caught my pants on fire once, no joke! It was actually a pretty funny incident though).
I do have a 2AA box without a provision for a switch that I could try that out on. Only...
Here is a picture of my go to mod for reference. The OKR and components are crammed in the bottom. So try to imagine that chip stuffed up top between the bottle, batteries, switch, pot, and modified 510 connector.
Thanks everyone!
To answer everyone's questions:
I generally go through 3ml's and 4 15270 batteries a day. I always keep a fresh set of batts with me.
The OKR chip is not soldered in place yet. It is going to be a tight fit!
The feeding system is not setup yet, still waiting on parts to...
Ahh, I see what you are saying, the reflection and angle of the picture make the bottle look square. I can assure you though that it is just a regular round bottle.
Man, you have a sharp eye!
Been a while since I last posted. I had a little hiatus with the cigs (3 years smoke free and I got hooked somehow) but I'm back in action.
Here's a new mod I've been working on to get me excited about vaping again. It's a new take on my old faithful, which was a 2aa box with an OKR chip and...
So in the 6th post I said a 510 connector would not fit in this mod.... Well I lied. With some careful trimming of the bottle and the dropper tip, I managed to build one with a 510 connector. Pretty stoked that I can use my Boge cartos without an adapter now.
I also switched to IMR 15270...
Madvapes has them or with a little vigilant searching on eBay you can find them. I found white 9v boxes on eBay.
Or if you want to drop $200 you can get 1000 of them on Alibaba
Yeah it's just a plastic box with no internals yet. I would advise if anyone is doing this to make all cut outs before sipping and clear coating. I'm going to cut this one out to be a bottom feeder, so after I cut the hole for the bottle I'll have to clear that area so the polish and existing...
Thanks everyone!
And like kena posted, I used the same technique only I dropped the nail polish into the tub of water. You have to work quick because the layer of polish will set almost instantly depending on the type of paint/polish you use.
My girlfriend was painting her nails last night while I was trying to think of a mod to build for her. Most of my box mods are plain jane and I wanted it to be special (since she is to me).
I grabbed some water in a tub and her favorite nail polish and whipped this up. What do you guys think?
I was bored watching my girlfriend paint her nails so I grabbed a tub of water and experimented with a few spare battery box doors I had lying around.
What do you guys think?
