Travelling to the USA (California mainly) for tourism - a few questions

@Rossum Thanks! Much appreciated, I think that clears all my doubts :)

Travelling to the USA (California mainly) for tourism - a few questions

Hi everybody, I have not been on this forum, or indeed any vaping forum, for quite a few years now, but I thought this might be the right place to ask for some advice from US vapers. Over the next months I will be visiting relatives in the US for a few weeks and do some tourism as well, mainly...

Question about ohms with a Dual coil/Dual parallel coil

Yes and no. You would get the same reading if you would put in one single wire of the same length but double diameter if that makes sense. Basically, given you have two wires, the meter/mod sees them as one. It's always worth mentiong, just in case: be careful with double coil, the draw on the...

Order not received - No answer to my Tickets at COV's site

More than one month late and no reply whatsoever? That's quite a lot. Try all contact numbers and you can find, perhaps a phone call. Anything else failing, send them a message notifying them that you are considering contacting your credit card provider to get the money back, unless they reply...

DO NOT Carry AW high drain batteries in your pocket!!

Good you didn't get hurt. I have modded my vmod putting a coin between positive and kick, it works great, coins are great as for conductivity, which is not always a good thing. Actually, aside of stacking unmatched batteries and overdischarging IMR, keys and coins in the pocket are probably the...

    GG Penelope No Throat Hit?

Would 0,13 provide less vapour but stronger flavour than 0,16? Right now I am using 0,16 double coil. Sent from my SK17i using Tapatalk 2

    GG Penelope No Throat Hit?

My pennies do give quite a lot of th. Sorry, stupid question perhaps but, what liquid are you using? Is it the same you are running on the cartos which give you good th? I agree that a meter is pretty useful, but like you say, if it's variable wattage it shouldn't matter. Sent from my SK17i...

Young June - First Week Impression

As for the limited battery life problem, it might well be that the display on the lavatube is actually showing you a much lower voltage than the mod is putting through. It was found recently that the equipment normally used to test the output voltage is not well suited to measure pulse voltage...

IMR or PROTECTED batteries in VV's?

You can use both but IMR will give you better performance, meaning you are not going to get a wimpy vape when the battery is partially depleted and with particularly challenging resistance atties. The general advice is to get AW IMR, which are rebranded high quality cells, but expensive. A...

    Backwoods brew ordering thread

Thanks for that. It sounds like staff at the hotel might be able to keep the parcel safe for me if it arrives before I do. If I would order right now, do you think there is a good chance it might reach the hotel by the 5th of October? I am leaving on the 6th, so, just to stay safe. Thanks and...

    Backwoods brew ordering thread

If I can ask, how long does it take on average for delivery to Boston? I might be soon placing my first order with Backwood and certainly looking forward to try, but I'll have to give my hotel address for delivery and will only be staying 3 days, so I was trying to figure out what's the best...

    short vs long wick

I think they blow CE2 out of the water. But you still need tilting when the tank is not full.

    Statement from Totally Wicked

To be honest, I see your point but I don't. They have explicitely requested not to be named on ukvapers anyway, so I guess the new forum management will certainly consider to apply that to the new forum, not sure. In general, I don't think many would object to a pre_emptive ban. Community špirit...

    Statement from Totally Wicked

After reading Jackie's statement, I realize I couldn't really be bothered with TW in a sense or the other. It's just a company selling vaping stuff like other millions, they come and go, who cares.. But what I'd really like to say is Thanks Jackie! For all your time and generous effort in...

Hello to the ukv homeless :) (no politics!!!)

Uhh, ECF was my first vaping forum, I love it here even if I ended up spending lots of time on UKV. Good to be back :)

    Provari, VMaXX, or Chrome LT?

I understand it has an higher amperage than the Provari, so it should be able to run dual coils better. But I think that was more of a problem withe the older version, the V2 has an higher amperage. Sent from my SK17i using Tapatalk 2

The Vmod XL 18650 Bottom Feeding Mod from Vapage - Part 2

Thanks! The last link looks particularly interesting as it explicitly mention that it's non-toxic, even if not necessarily food proof. It's a pity that MR Bond is not easy to find here in the UK, as they make a tested food proof one :(

The Vmod XL 18650 Bottom Feeding Mod from Vapage - Part 2

Thanks. I think that is required to fit a kick with the positive post removed but it's not enough with the post in place, and I didn't want to remove it.

The Vmod XL 18650 Bottom Feeding Mod from Vapage - Part 2

thanks, I considered that but I am not completely convinced that I could remove a section and glue the rest back. All the glues I know of that would hold well are not too safe to use with something I will vape. And tape might allow liquid to seep out making a mess. But perhaps I am wrong...

The Vmod XL 18650 Bottom Feeding Mod from Vapage - Part 2

I see.. I start wondering if one can mod a bottle to make it smaller :) Or get smaller ones, so to mount a kick without removing the central post..
