Not that i chirp in much, but in any event the issue is angry young men (as we all were - only later do we just get grumpy and grey; some of us in our 20's) and that's the way life is. However, if we required those people that do own guns to store them safely away from these adolescents that might be an idea.

Last week i tried my hardest and managed to get a traffic ticket for 'failure to yield right of way' and it didn't go well. "Hello - i'm officer Green", "sure you are and i'm Captain Scarlet".
The sign said 'yield' not give up and HRH, who was in the car with me at the time was disgusted as i merged seamlessly into the traffic and only half a mile later did we notice the road seemed pretty clear on account of blue flashing lights following me. Naturally, i had moved the mirror to stop that annoying me.
Got 22 mpg!

Well, I'm not an angry old man, nor was I ever a young one, but I've found myself in the same circumstances.... I only follow rules that make sense... You can imagine, this leads to difficulty sometimes.

But you're a Brit Trunk, yes?

My experience in Ireland, and a VERY unfortunate one at Heathrow, is that you guys do what you're told....

Maybe, thus, you're an Expat?

I for one, will never fly British Airways again. Nor am I likely to visit your country of origin, ever, unless I'm escorted by some serious security. Cause, that's a disaster waiting to happen...

Please tell me it's not that bad! Daughter bought us tickets to go visit her next month and we're stopping in London.

Probably not for you honey. I'm a trouble magnet! But I would recommend when going through Heathrow, don't argue, even when you now your right, cause they will F you up.

Not all of us do as we're told ;) after all, all progress depends on the unreasonable man! But i am English by birth and American by naturalisation (if not spelling). i never used British Airways but chose Continental for my trips to the USA.

But BA is not the only crappy airline and when i travelled a lot in Europe there were acronyms for some of them. Sabena was a Belgian carrier that went bust -'Such A Bad Experience Never Again' and Lufthansa who are a pretty decent German airline -'Let Us Fondle The Hostesses And Not Say Anything'.

Nice to see you btw :)

oh, and now I'm playing at bicycle repair guy too. :thumb:

I've been doing this and that to fix up this (li'l bit rusty) ~30 yr old Sekai ten speed that I've ridden betimes.
Also, got a free bike to fix up for my daughter. I got everything all done on that (needed a lot, as it turns out); but then discovered that the cabling is too short for the handlebar swap we want to do. So, I'm about to put fresh cabling on that there system.
Then I'll do the wife's bike. Hers is in decent condition; but needs derailleur adjustments, seat post fixin', stuff like that.

Tami, I keep meaning to ask; with all your home fixin' stuff, have you made curtains?
Cause it's not a real remodel until you've made curtains. :|
Since ~X-mas, I've made curtains for the dining room, one in the living room, one in the office, and I just did the cutest one in the bath (that I'm on the home stretch on).
So, contest wise . . .. :pervy:

Making curtains was so in my 40's. I bought them so I'm done and I win! :rickroll:
