So, I was researching pod-type scenarios for electric-singer . . . just to be clear on what options there are and stuff.

and then I saw this one thing

and then I couldn't stop thinking about this one thing . . . .

anyway, so really just wanting to mention that I finally took a little fun/me/hobby time on the holiday and made a cute little case for this little thing that I now seem to possess
(and, actually, really like quite a bit . . .. in a full-circle kin'a way)

Arr your nic salts diy? You seem like the type who understands that you just need enough acid added to freebase to neutralize ph and you have salts

Unless you want to replicate nude nic signature or hit. Then you just want lower ph than freebase but not neutral

thank you sir.

basically, I'm not there yet (where I'd be thinking about diy).
right now (this week?) I'm just trying to detect and make some sense of what the differences are, how/if freebase and salt effect me differently.
also, was trying to figure out the right % for that device and me using it.

as best as I can tell, I'm going to want to run it at about 3% (or 30mg/mL).
I can totally vape freebase at that % in that device, as far as TH or "harshness" goes.
However, I don't like the way the freebase (that I have) makes me feel in this application.
Hard to describe; but it's "edgy" and a bit (tiny bit) queasy, and odd . . . not friendly. ("sharp"? . . . "stressy"?)
The salts (in this application) seem to affect a different, more pleasant vibe in me.

So, I hadn't been ready to consider the "diy" question yet (as in, is it even necessary). I'm just about there tho. It was just this evening that I kind of confirmed that my body does detect a difference, and that I'll probably want to stick to salt format for "podding".

so then . . .. do what, you say? . . .. how? :?:
(have you tried it yourself, or are you just armchair chemist-ing it here? :p )

yus, i have

but only with supermarket supplies, so citric and tartaric acid powders. They are good, but adding 2.37 grams of citric acid powder to 10ml of 10% nic base isn't coil friendly

my todo list includes some heavily acidic acids, and preferably already liquid (but food safe)

are you mtl or dl ing pods? the uptake to bloodstream thing is related to mouth and gum mucosa. I don't actually know the number, but the ph 7 is gum friendly

the juul patent is enlightening, so are old journals studying how tobacco companies have done similar with burnie cigs for decades

hope that makes sense :w00t:

(I do have a digital pH doo-dad thingy . . . will I be needing that, prof.Doff?)

no

you just want a gum mucosa friendly ph

i'm sure juul need to stick to 7.0000000 but for all intents and purposes, 6.5 or 7.5 is all good, and you likely won't notice

do you have a digital scale?

Mornin.
Up here, we just call them all crocs. Wear them in the saltwater, I guess they become saltwater crocs. Freshwater crocs are typically nicer though. You really gotta watch out for the camo crocs, they'll sneak up on ya without ever being noticed!
