No penalty for the snake if it kills you though, sounds kinda backwards.

it was originally epoxy; but super glue would be the appropriate next step.
(as the epoxy left a nice flat base and sides for the super glue to bond to)
use very little, and don't try the fit for at least a few hours to give it time to set up in a "weak-moisture" environment (unless you've got a CA accelerator on hand).
