I usually am not into hybrid blocks but that is gorgeous.
I think I would keep it pretty much whole and go for a quad parallel 18650 with a 60 ml squonk bottle with that beauty.
Of course, an ultem cappped atty and button would be mandatory.
This is destined to be an SX350J temp mod for one of my best friends. He's not into squonking so no squonk hole for this Brian. I agree with you in that I would never ask Peter to make something like this into a Pinch. I'm more of a traditionalist as far as my Pinch is concerned.

So I've been searching for wood since my number is coming up soon. There is so much buckeye burl out there now-a-days that I'm beginning to wonder if somebody cut down an entire forest of buckeye trees?
I find I'm having just as hard of a time deciding for my Li'l Pinch as I did for my Sumpin' oh, so long ago (in vape time). Just when I see something I like, there is something else I like just as much. I'm thinkin' the Bee can use his wizardry to make just about any block into a work of beauty and function.
OK, off to close down some browser tabs (narrow down some choices).

I think many of us get stuck picking the right piece of wood for our long awaited Pinches but we all tend to forget that the Bee could probably make a plywood Pinch look awesome. Just go with the first piece that appeals to ya because at the end of the day the more you search the more pieces you find you like, making your decision even more difficult.
Pick something with character and contrast and run with it.

I had a dibi made of spectra ply, which is sort of a plywood. It came out wonderful and I used it exclusively for a year.
The way the different colors came through during shaping was really exciting.
It was my first custom mod and a lot of fun, but anything custom can have moments of stress while trying to convey just what you want

Mighty fine choice! Love the ironwood. I think mine came out looking quite spectacular!
