The grey Noalox. Nah.

Deoxit - maybe, it's not bad but expensive.

I bought some No-Ox-Id from Kidney Puncher, for $6. It sticks and i do little maintenance.

That's the stuff! I also have some Deoxit gold. I thought I had to use the Noalox first and then the deoxit for maintainance. Can I just use the Deoxit?

Sure you can.

Noalox is best used on aluminum threads (the name kinda hints at it...)

Deoxit will have Puppy writing an essay, but it's a very good contact cleaner and great stuff.

The No-Ox_id is like a jelly, sorry a jello and i find it to last well although it's a bit primitive to use.

Tami put that Noalox where I put it, in the trash. I hate that stuff it's a pain in the .... to clean and for the life of me I never found any material it's good for (ok pro'ly just me).
I threw it away after Trunkie said I could just use the detoxit ;)

I have used it for 30 years or so on Aluminum conductors in panelboards which is what it is designed and sold for. It also works better than anything else for vehicle battery terminals. Had a battery that would eat those red and green rings for lunch. Cleaned the terminals and put it on and never had another problem.

Thanks Mundy, I used it in some mod threads and it' a sticky goo that’s a pain to remove. Finally gave up and it ended in the duster.

Yep, I have as well and it's a bust for that. It is composed of Polybutene which is a clear tacky liquid, Zink dust, and Silicone Dioxide. So you end up with sticky Zink dust with a pinch of abrasive. For termination of aluminum wire that is exactly what you want to clean any oxide at the pressure point, infuse with Zink to prevent galvanic corrosion, and sticky left over to hold it all together and prevent oxygen from getting to the joint.

Three month old coil/wick, all it needs is a quick dry burn to turn perfectly clean again:)
